Drummonds Field borders Carlton Farms on 1 side. The spacious 90+ acre farm property extends from Greensprings Rd to the James River. The other side is bounded by the 4H Camp and vacant county owned property. The Colonial Bike Trail passes by along the Greensprings Road side, Jamestown Island is a stones throw and the Jamestown Ferry crosses the James nearby. The 58 stall barn has an attached indoor arena and 2 excellent outdoor sand riding rings. Plenty of room to ride, school, and park your truck and trailer for shows. The staff is experienced and caring with an onsite large animal vet clinic. Do your own thing is an apt description as boarders are free to use the facilities at their leisure. Riding lessons are offered in the English riding discipline, but other disciplines are welcome.. more

Large facility near town in the middle of a housing development. No real identity and run-down facilities. Okay horse care but nothing special. Pretty much do your own thing amid various inconsistent lesson programs. more

Nice people, different trainers for different disciplines, lots of school horses, rebuilding big arena with new fencing, indoor lighted arena, lighted outdoor arena, full boarding so your horse will always be fed and taken care of even if you are away, lots of horse shows during the summer, clinicians welcome through the year, 12x12 stalls with automatic waters. The horses are well taken care of and the people are helpful, and the barn is so open with lots of places to ride. A very pretty green patch of heaven in the ever growing williamsburg.
