We travelled all the way to Hoboken (from Brooklyn) to order a cake for my daughter's 16th birthday celebration because she is a big fan of the ""CAKE BOSS"" program. Although it wasn't a ""creative specialty cake"" (they are too overpriced) we settled on a custom cake that did cost over $100, which we paid for in full, 3 weeks prior to our party. One week prior to the event, I phoned the shop to ask to have chocolate covered strawberries placed along the border of the cake -- where the cake sits on the plate, not on the top of the cake. (My daughter & husband forgot to request that when ordering). The woman was so rude and arrogant to me on the phone, shouting (in her best grammar !) ""We don't do that NO more!"" She wouldn't let me get one word in edge wise, shouting and screaming that I shouldn't tell her how to run her business (which i wasn't, because I wasn't able to say a word with her incessnt shouting in my ear) and telling me that I should mind my own business, etc. She then proceeded to hang up on me when I (finally) was able to state my side. I phoned her back, stating that I was a paying customer, and my request was a) given to her with plenty of notice and b) not unusual or inconvenient in any way. c) I was also THE PAYING CUSTOMER !!!. 'Buddy"" the creative force of the show, always states that ""we are in the business to make people happy."" Well, with rude, obnoxious phone clerks, they certainly did not make this family happy and regardless of how the cake tastes I will NEVER VENTURE THERE AGAIN !!! I also make sure I repeat this story when I hear people saying (after seeing the show) how much they would love to go there etc.
Pros: Delicious tasting desserts
Cons: Rude, arrogant staff
