We had been trying (unsuccessfully!) to design a cover for our patio that included a frame for our favorited porch swing. We looked at an awning that CareFree had just installed at a neighbor's house, and knew immediately that was what we wanted. Mr. Gary McLaughlin came to our house and showed us exactly what they would doo,... how attached to the house, posts, gutters, downspouts, frame for the swing.. the whole works. The men doing the work were very nice. They got the job done fast, and not a bit of trash was left on the yard.\r We LOVE our patio now!! Before, we never sat out back.. Now we are out with our coffee before breakfast, during the noon heat of the day, and in the cool of the evening. A perfect place to sit and swing and watch our garden grow. We were getting a new roof due to hail damage, and Gary was wonderful to us. He came and gave us a quote and got the job done in perfect time, and even sent someone to the house over the weekend to help remove siding before the roofers came. I have used Gary McLaughlin's service twice in the last several years to replace deteriorated plywood siding with vinyl siding on our 43-year-old church building. We had a challenge for Gary McLaughlin and his crew. Not only was it the dead of winter, but the work was complicated. Remove a shaky, dangerous old deck; replace rotten siding boards; paint the entire back of the house; build a new, larger deck nine feet off the ground and enclose it with a screen porch. Not only was the crew out there on days when everyone else was bundled up, but they were cheerful as they worked. Our new screened deck is a haven and has enhanced the value of our home immensely. Even with the strong winds and near-tornado conditions that Arkansas is subject to, the structure stood sturdy and never buckled. Every detail was completed with pride and dedication. My family greatly enjoyed the covered patio, and Gary was even able to work around a drainage problem we had with the patio. I never got another quote, because I knew the job would be done beautifully and skillfully without a worry on my part. We wanted to add a sunroom to our house and did so using this company however we compleatly wasted our time and money. when they said it would be done in 3 weeks they ment almost 4 months! if it was raining 300 miles away they couldnt work at our house. they keep you waiting instead of calling and telling you they wont show up. We never did get the information for the warrenty and its been almost 2 yrs. After calling repeatedly for them to come back and fix the leaks we had to hire a new company due to getting every excuse in the book from- how its to far to drive from our office to fix or we will get back to you ( which they dont )- Come to find out they didnt use the right screws in the roof, left cracks where the gutter attackes to the roof, filled holes with cauck instead of installing the windows correctly in the first place. The concret floor was so unlevel that the flooring company had to cost extra also just to lay the tile sence Carefree Aluminum wouldnt fix it correctly even after we told them that it wasnt level.\r Oh the Sales rep Scott Williams gives you a great deal and makes alot of promises he cant keep like that you can have an outside light or a light switch by the door entering from outside and Gary McLaughlin, the owner, will spend alot of time giving excuses and blaming everyone else for why its not done or cant be fixed.\r Run Away fast we should have. Dont waste your time and money this company is NOT worth the energy and hassel or the massive stress. \r Pros: LOOKS good from a distance Cons: youll be fixing it later, Wasted money more
