I was privileged enough to be sponsored as a guest host at the Cardinal Club...my daughter thought the venue was one of the prettiest in Raleigh, so when we were offered an opportunity to have her wedding there, we were very pleased. The food as planned by the head chef was fabulous...let me be clear about that...we had a wedding brunch reception with stations offering varied and well-presented choices...thank you, chef. Our biggest regret is with the events planner and manager. She was flippant when we suggested that we were nervous about making sure everything was just as we planned...this is a once-in-a-lifetime event for us. She claimed it was ""no problem"" and that we should just allow her to make it all happen. On the day of the event, the tables were NOT set, the guests were not directed into the dining room as requested; there was no ice water served at the tables as requested; she did not put the toasting goblets out for the bride and groom, etc., Suffice it to say that the details that she was in charge of were completely neglected. She left the affair early in the day, and left us to fend for ourselves at the conclusion of the event. She was nowhere to be found for two days thereafter, and our final bill was tallied --despite our complaints-- put on our charge card...and we have been refused to be heard regarding the many errors made.\r

I love the ambience of this club, and I think the kitchen does a great job...but as far as being a top-notch service-oriented venue, it falls very short of its promise.
Pros: Food
Cons: Service/details
