If you love callibash style seafood Captain Steves is the place. They serve you fast and the food is fresh. They serve almost anything you could ask for in seafood. Check them...

Worst

My husband and I decided to to here for lunch one day because it is so full at dinner and I honestly cannot tell you why. The food is OK., but nothing worth waiting in line for. O...

A definite favorite for these Mid-westerners 11/6/2009

We were told to try Steve's when our realtor was showing homes to us on our lookey loo visit. We came to eat here the first night we arrived in town....what a blessing to find such a warm enviroment with people who really cared. The food was excellent and not to mention the portions......WOW.....we were very impressed and are already trying to think of an excuse to go again. This will be the place to take our relatives and friends when they come down for a visit. BRAVO! Pros: Hushpuppies & grilled shrimp Cons: Haven't found one yet more

Good Food, Great Service 10/30/2009

The food was good, the line was really long, but well worth the wait.. We went in with a very large party it was our 1st time there and Sue-ellen and Shannon took care of us. They were very informative and had alot of patients with our group. We very much appreciated it. GREAT servers, we will ask for them EVERY time we go in there. Pros: Hushpuppies, Jumbo Shrimp Cons: Noisy, long line more

OK Food-Loud and Bad Service 9/5/2009

My husband and I decided to to here for lunch one day because it is so full at dinner and I honestly cannot tell you why. The food is OK., but nothing worth waiting in line for. Once we were seated, it took forever to get anything. We finally got our drinks, later the hushpuppies, and still much later our food. My husband works in town and was still late getting back to work because it took so long to get our food. To top it off, there was something on my plate I did not order. I almost started eating it, thinking ""Oh well,"" when the waitress came to me and took it off the plate and said sorry..then proceeded to give it to a guy at another table. How did she know I had not touched it? That was just gross. Pros: The food had a good taste Cons: Very Loud; Took forever to get food more

Excellent food fast! 9/16/2008

This is the greatest seafood place I have ever been too. I do not understand why anyone would ever go to another place. Pros: Very good food and great service Cons: a little noisy more

Great food Great value 7/31/2008

You can easily get discouraged when you drive up and see the sea of cars in the parking lot. Nothing changes when you see the line out the door, but amazingly the line shrinks quickly. Immediately after sitting down, you realize why the place is so crowded. They serve dessert first! The hushpuppies taste like cake and are even better dipped in the honey butter. They can fill you up if you arent careful. The blooming onion is not as good as Outback's but it is tasty as an appetizer. Pros: Best tasting seafood I've had; Great value Cons: Atmosphere is a little loud; service can be a little slow at times b/c of crowd more

Good Food, Bad Service 5/20/2008

The food here is good, but our recent experience with carry out was terrible. We walked in and ordered. 45 minutes later we were still sitting there, and finally asked them to check. 15 more minutes, and still no meal. When the food finally arrived at the counter, it was cold. The clerk said ""sorry"", rang us up and sent us on our way. We won't be back. more

Best Seafood in Charlotte 3/9/2007

If you want really good seafood and actually be completely stuffed at the same time, Captain Steve's is the place to go! This is truly, what Southerners call, a ?fish-camp?. Total yummers for this restaurant! Especially during the weekend, the line can be out the door. However, as opposed to many crowded restaurants with long lines, Steve?s gets everyone in pretty quickly. It is worth the short wait! Pros: Very tasty and hefty amounts of food Cons: Not good for the hard of hearing more

Great Kids Restuarant 8/1/2006

We love Captain Steves... Gets a little busy after 6pm....but never a long wait. Wednesday night is kids eat free (love that) Great Hushpuppies... kids under 3 get a free shrimp plate every night. Great seafood and kids choices. Kids get a menu and crayons....fun activites keep them busy. Fun little candy checkout counter.....kids love looking at the fish tanks... Best seafood restuarant in Rock Hill and Fort Mill. Pros: Great Food and Fun with the kids Cons: A littel wait after 6pm.... more

line? yes. party 5+? go! 6/17/2006

no doubt the food is FANTASTIC! serivce too. get there early for a shorter line but parties of 5 or more tend to slide to the front. oh yeah and hushpuppies - melt in your mouth fabulous! if you get a platter, make it two items, not three. you will still take food home! i laughed when my husband mentioned the name, i laughed. i laugh no more!! sing the praises of captain steve's!!!!!!!! Pros: hushpuppies, seafood, service Cons: family atmosphere might mean screaming kids more

The freshest seafood around..... 12/1/2005

The freshest seafood south of Cape Cod! Never frozen here. Service is fast and friendly, child friendly. Real family place. Price is a wonderful value too! GO early on weekends, but the line moves fast, and is worth the wait. We love this place! Pros: fresh seafood, fast service, kid friendly Cons: high noise level more

Wendy's review for Steve 11/2/2005

The Bomb..... for the amount of food you get it is more than a value. If you should go ask for Tina, Anglea Driggers or Katie they will trat you right. Pros: always hot, Seating quickly, great choices Cons: wish it was closer, always a line more
