Best

This place is worth the wait. The food is great. Always fresh and the staff is patient. The view is beautiful, and it can't be beat. Definitely must visit

Worst

Dark, Pricey, acted like they were saving the nice seats for 'quality' folks, had to insist on decent seating... Food was good but nothing special and just average portion.

Captain Anderson's Restaurant is worth the wait 7/22/2009

Fantastic food 1/2/2009

The food is great and the service is good, it's clean and nice interior. Sometimes the wait to get in is long but if you go in the off hours it isn't too bad. It is a little noisy inside but the new addition dining area was not so bad. It's expensive but worth the money at least once a year! more

The Best Seafood in Panama City Beach, Florida 6/19/2007

We are yearly vacationers to the Panama City Beach, Florida area. Loved going to the Hamilton restaurant but due to hurricane and now condos being built in that spot, we tried Capt. Anderson's for the lst time. Wonderful, wonderful food!!! The house recipes of greek salad and then the broiled shrimp were the best. My husband had blacken grouper which too was wonderful. Lovely ambience with lots of hanging plants, over looking the bay, and lots of pictures of celebrities who had dined there. Just a really nice experience and worth every cent. It truly is a 5 star restaurant as rated by Southern Living magazine. more

Must do when in Panama City 4/14/2007

This is a must do for us each trip down to the coast. The service is top notch, the food is wonderful. I do suggest getting there early or the wait will be long. Also if you get there early enough you may see some of the boats coming in with their catches. Though this is one of the upscale places in Panama City, formal attire is not required, after all this is the "beach". Prices reflect your dinning experience, so if your looking for cheap, not the place to be, but if you are looking for good, be sure and add it on your list!! A great place to wind down a day of sun and surf, with some of the best surf and turf!!!! more

While visiting Panama City (a group of 12) went to Captain Anderson's for dinner. We were greated by 2 of the rudiest young women at the front desk, we were told that our wait would be 45 minutes. We understood the wait and began looking around, after 1 hour we decided to leave, when we were called and asked to move to the back of the building. In the back was another area, we were treated awful by another group of rude women, who told us that our table was not ready and we would have to wait again and told to "Get out of the way" so others could get through! After being treated so bad by the entire staff at Capt. Anderson's how can restaurant can be voted the "1". We visit Panama City once a year and we will not visit the restaurant again. more

Hands-DOWN the best restaurant in PCB! 6/25/2004

I've been eating here since birth and go back every time I have a chance. Compared to big cities in the south, the prices are great for the quality of experience and food that you get. A nice atmosphere, too - never stuffy or TOO family - just casual dining with amazing food. Some of the best meals I've ever eaten have been here, and I've eaten all over the world. No trip to the Emerald Coast is complete without a visit to Capt. Anderson's. The Greek salads and desserts are just as great as the entrees. The locals know to get there by 6 in the summer to avoid a wait. Pros: SUPERB dining, Relaxed ambience, Great view more

Freshest Fish in town!! 1/2/2003

We live in South Carolina. We ended up in Panama City on vacation when the hurricane hit Daytona Beach, Florida in 1997 or 98. Anyway, we had our 3 kids with us ages 7,8 and 9. This was the best service, best food, best everything in a seafood restaurant. Our kids remember this experience to this very day, and still ask us to take them back. In fact, my husband and I snuck off one weekend just to eat there. It is pricey, but very well worth it if you love fresh seafood or even steaks. Try it! you will not regret it at all. Pros: Fresh seafood, #1 waitresses more
