I live in Bruceville, Tx and have no problem driving out of my way for a great burger. I've made many trips to Capt Billy's, but after today, I will NEVER go again. I went through the drive thru for a hamburger, and while the girl was getting my change, I checked my order and found that the bun was very stale and felt cold from the outside. I brought this to the servers attention, and she assured me that the burger was fresh. I drove to a nearby shady spot to eat, and when I opened the burger to salt & pepper I found that the bun was stale, hard & COLD. It made me so mad that I drove back to the restaurant so I could go inside to show them that this burger was NOT up to Capt Billy's standard. I was met IMMEDIATELY with defensive attitudes from one of the girls serving and one of the male cooks...no hint of an apology. I even had the girl feel of the bun, and her answer was that the pickles were the reason that the bun was cold. (I suppose pickles also have the ability to make a bun hard and stale?). There was absolutely NO sign of customer service...these people were only offering defensive attitudes. I did not curse or make threats. All I wanted was what I paid for (and drove several miles to get). I didn't trust these yoo hoos to make me another burger (heaven only knows what might be on it), so I asked for my money back. Like I said before...NEVER AGAIN!!!
