Worst

This is a really old motel that was ""remodeled"" to look a little more hip. There s a plazma tv in the room, but you have to turn on a vcr to watch television, very old fashion...

A darling motel designed for a quick dose of peace and quiet 4/14/2011

This place is darling. The rooms are very nice. The two queen beds were so comfortable, with lovely high threadcount sheets, an extra pillow top, as well as an extra foam layer. I had a great night's sleep! The staff is wonderful. Thank you, Christopher. Everyone was very accommodating. They provided ice and towels endlessly. An added plus was the Westridge Market, down the street. Lots of prepared foods and an excellent selection of wine, which allowed a great picnic dinner on the porch. The breakfast set-up was generous, but not enough protein. Lots of cereal, fruit, coffee cake, scones, coffee and tea. My girlfriends and I are already planning a return weekend next month :-) more

We loved our stay 4/13/2011

The lady at the front desk was so nice and there was the cutest little cat that hung around us. The pool was wonderful and the rooms were adorable. We enjoyed our stay! more

Loved the upgrade motel 4/12/2011

This is a 2 story upgraded motel with very clean, spacious rooms that include plush pillows and comforters, very comfortable beds that feel like memory foam, thick towels, and amenities. They offer free wi-fi that works most of the time. It is not a hotel, neither a ""boutique hotel"", it is really a motel where you drive all the way to the front of your room and there is no porter nor valet service. It has a wide welcoming glass walled ""lobby"" with free coffee and tea. There is a computer in the lobby. Capri Motel is conveniently located in the main street of small charming Ojai. more

Loved it 4/11/2011

This was my second stay at the Capri. This time I booked the Deluxe room with a patio. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see the remodeled large tiled patios. I had my own private gate to access the pool area and more importantly the pool cabanas where my friend and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. Very comfortable and clean. Thank you again. I will be back. more

Would definitely stay again 4/7/2011

My husband and I decided last minute to go to Ojai to celebrate our anniversary. I read the reviews of the Capri, and I definitely agree with the positive posts. This is a little gem of a budget motel, nicely renovated 1950's style, with a clean pool and grounds that have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The retro-chic lobby contains fruit and coffee all day and night, with an extensive selection of DVDs for you to peruse and take back to your room to watch on big, flatscreen TVS. A great deal for $140 (on expedia), far better than staying in a generic Best Western. I would definitely stay again. more

Magical & hip 4/4/2011

If you want to truly experience the beauty and hipness of Ojai properly you have to stay at the Capri. Great service, immaculate rooms, pool & spa. Almost has a post modern retro feel to it, so it's aesthetically pleasing to the full age spectrum. If you like the Cafe 101 vibe in Hollywood you'll enjoy and appreciate this Hotel. more

Clean friendly relaxing stay in a great location in ojia val 4/1/2011

A up scale stay , we went out of season and found the Capri well run clean and friendy , and was very surprised and inpressed by the stylish rooms , big screen TV movies DVD player and iPod dock , microwave, fridge , and a lovley well decorated room with huge bed very comfortable,and in the morning a breakfast fit for a king ,all you need for a healthy start to your sighting day , As a owner of a bar & resterant ,and 18 years in the trade I would totally recommend the Capri. As a top destination in the ojai vally, it's a very cool place to stay. more

relax for a few days at a dog friendly spot 3/29/2011

i spent a few days of my vacation this year at the Capri with the lady friend and our dogs. It's nothing fancy, but i was not looking for fancy. i just wanted to relax for a few days at a dog friendly spot. We were there during the week, and we were probably the only guests. it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We could let the dogs go nuts on the big lawns while we swam and drank tall cans in the pool. Our room had a little yard attached to it that the dogs could snoop around in at night. The AC unit was loud, but who cares. all in all it was pretty prefect. more

I intend to return 3/24/2011

I enjoyed the places's look and feel and found the staff most helpful. Next time I would be better prepared with munchies that I can microwave and DVDs to watch. The room made me want to stay indoors more than I normally do. Not sure how each room differs but overall I was charmed. more

Service with a genuine smile 3/22/2011

Brigitte, the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. We were sitting in traffic and rain all day, she quickly helped us get a room. We asked to be near parking so we didn't have to carry so much of our luggage to the room. She did just that. Service with a genuine smile!! Our room was really modern looking and pretty. We were impressed by the condition of the room and the price. Quite a steal! We'll be back and we'll tell our friends about this quaint place : ) more

We totally enjoyed our stay here 3/18/2011

We totally enjoyed our stay here! The rooms had new hardwood floors and plasma screen televisions. The rooms were clean and there was a microwave, and fridge in the room, which was nice. We had a balcony room and there was a lovely view from our room. The staff was very friendly and they are pet friendly! They even loaned us out a new doggie bed so our little buddy would have somewhere to sleep! We enjoyed our stay here in Ojai :) more

Great prices, Great location and Christopher makes you feel 3/16/2011

I had a business meeting in the area and ended up finding this amazing place to stay in breath taking Ojai Ca. Christopher directed me to the best of food options and nightlife and breakfast! If you know the right places to go in this little town your stay will be unforgettable and thank god this establishment has a person like Christopher to help with this! I at first was hesitant to share this information since i wanted to keep it as my personal find but this place is a place to be shared more

Great Stay Worth Every penny will be back 3/11/2011

Best stay ever WOW the must have sunk a million dollars into this small gem of a hotel. two pools and cabanas were located on the large lawwn just outside my room and the view of the golf course made the room perfect. Capri in ojai was a true joy for the wife as well she took one of the hotels free bikes and played tennis and the went to the spa. The sevice was great and the breakfest fresh and free we will be back at the Ojai Capi more

This Hotel was worth every penny. our room was large and faced the pool area we had a great patio that our dog jeff just loved. the breakfast was good even though it was limited to cold foods the staff was super and we will be back more

My girlfriend and I had seen the motel but after checking in we were surprised how nice the property and rooms were. The rooms are super modern with slick furniture and a large flat panel TV. I couldn't get off the chaise lounge for like 2 hours! We headed down to the Hot Tub where we enjoyed a great conversation with a regular visitor from LA. It's the only place she stays in Ojai and went on an on about how much she's enjoyed staying at the Capri regularly. Christopher at the front desk is obviously passionate about this place and makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended. Great experience. more

Lovely!! 3/4/2011

This was our first trip to Ojai and we were so glad to have chosen the Capri Motel as our place to stay. Although the Capri Motel does not say much from the outside our thoughts completely changed when we first entered our room. It was very bright and clean; the bed was very comfy and the white linens were like the ones we have at home! A nice touch was the huge flat screen tv with dvd player as well as the Ipod dock station . All this felt great once we were back from our hike and we had such a nice place to wind down and sleep away. We are already planning a date to go back!! more

Great place to stay and Christopher makes it AWESOME!! 3/3/2011

This little gem is a great place to stay with kids and pets. The rooms are clean and the beds are really comfortable. The selling point for me is the staff. The manager, Christopher, is so nice and accommodating. He knows Ojai like the back of his hand and can guide you to wherever and whatever you want to do. We have been there twice now and intend to keep going back. more
