I have been pretty unhappy with the way the trash is collected. Most of the time, there's something left in the bottom of the trash barrels All of the time, the lids are strewn all over the place. Two weeks ago (or maybe it's 3 by now), a lid was apparently tossed into the trash truck, and I have been asking that a new barrel be provided to replace the one I can no longer use. I've called Capitol Waste at least 5 times and the City's Public Works Dept another 2 or 3. So far, although I keep being promised a replacement, nothing has happened. more

I am a resident of Quincy & miss BFI. Capital is horrible. Rude employees, trash goes everywhere as they drive off, they miss full barrels infont of there faces. I am responsible, I put out everything neatly,not overload bags & expect decent service of which they do not give..Very dissapointed! more

An animal got into our trash so I went outside to pick up the trash all over the street and left my cell phone on my car. I completely forgot about it until the trash men came and I saw them standing around looking at something and then it dawned on me that I didn't know where my phone was. Long story short... they took my iphone and when I called Capitol to see if someone turned it in the lady gave me an attitude and then when they found out who was driving that truck they all denied it. Not a very good feeling that such dishonest people are picking up peoples trash that could have personal information in it. Not happy at all. more

Several times ourselves and neighbors have had to call the town for either the recycle or the trash not being picked up and all the other bad reviews apply here to. Why should we put it in bags or nice and neat for them when 1/2 or all is left all over the street, yard for us to pick up again. Or your trash can has been run over because they left it to far in the street mostly during the winter when it's harder to see them or the plows don't see them. Or your picking up broken glass because they dropped one of the glass bottles. When they miss you they claim they didn't go down the street that line is getting a little old. Like someone else said you don't like your job get a different one but you should be happy in this economy that you have a job. Get you act together. I don't know if you guys do the yard waste but when were told to put into the brown PAPER bags and you don't pick-up or it rained that night unforecased you think you might try to keep the bag together so the leaves aren't all over the yard again, being it wasn't raining when they were suppose to be picked up. People treat others with much more respect when they return it. Were trying to make the enviorment better by recycling but with all these aggrevations I bet a lot of people stopped. Weymouth wants the old company back. more

Capitol does the garbage where I work. The drivers are really nice and they come on time each week. They've been with us for a long time now and we've never been dissappointed. more

Inner-city waste management is a tough business. I give these guys a lot of credit. Their drivers seem a little rough around the edges, but always very polite and get the job done. more

This company has been a problem since I bought my house in Quincy a year ago. Pros: Sorry, can't think of any Cons: They leave barrels IN the streets OR on their SIDES more

First thing first, I tip on Christmas, I make sure there is no rain water in my barrels and I go to the trouble of putting my barrels where there is easy access not behind parked cars etc. However these schmucks decided they didn't want to pick up the trash from when my kitchen ceiling fell in, even though I only put a couple of bags a week out, they dug through my trash and pulled out the trash they didn't want to take and left it in the street. I already emailed Quincy Public Works and I am trying to find a way to email Capitol Waste Services as well. Anyone want to start a petition to get rid of them? Pros: they do show up Cons: irresponsible employees who do not care more

Let me just say, Christmas was the other day. Trash was due to be picked up this morning. Pros: they come at 7am Cons: They dont always pick up your trash! more

I'd expect better service from union workers making 20+ dollars an hour. What ever happened to taking pride in hard work? They rush too much. That's why you get half-full cans thrown all over your sidewalk. There's alot of people out there doing way more for way less. Don't like being a trashman? Quit. I'm from Weymouth Ma and Capitol just took over our town in July. Let me just say THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!Well, the trash guys are great and leave my barrells behind my bush's for me because I leave them out drinks every week. BUT the recycle guy needs to get a new job. Either that or learn to be respectfull! Pros: The Trash Guys are AWESOME!!! Cons: Recycling guy needs to go away!!! more

This broad is calling other people losers lol. I bet she still rents and at her age that makes her the loser. Calling other people losers doesn't make her a winner. I drive for WM and I get paid $38 an hour so Capitol drivers get about $30 an hour since they're a smaller company. And this lady probably gets about $15 an hour, who's the loser now? The nasty driver of truck 233 in Brighton today gets bitchy with ME when the guy he is working with motioned for me to go to the side of the road so I could pass. Had he took a moment to realize that his trash-buddy told me to do this, he could have saved himself from me yelling at him. more

i witnessed an accident where the truck was at fault and the driver and the men on the back started screaming,swearing, and threatening myself and the people that were in the car that was struck. I am disabled and i was afraid for myself physically. this is not the type of business that i would want in my neighborhood and if they ever came up for a contract bid i would go out of my way to prevent it from the being won. more

To say that Capital Waste is inconsistent would be too kind. They never seem to show up at the same time from week to week, they apparently only pull the tied bags from your trash cans and if garbage falls on the street they leave it, toss the cans on the street often leaving trash at the bottom of the can. Bottom line, they dont take all of your trash and make a mess at the same time. If you have a choice pick another service. more
