Briefly, I want to say I've shopped for bikes at Capitol Hill Bikes several times in the last two years and have always found the workers to be helpful and responsive. They have a decent selection of bikes and have bent over backwards looking for solutions in my ongoing quest to fit my wife with bikes. Although I've ultimately only purchased one bike from them, they spent plenty of time trying to get a proper fit before and after the purchase. Their choice of accessories is good and I haven't experienced steering toward more expensive items. more

The staff was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful. I was hauling in a bike-in-a-box, so Dave at the register directed me to the back of the store where the service area is located, where Dustin helped me out. more

After some misadventures with various other bike shops around town, I found Capitol Hill Bikes at the advice of one of my neighbors, thus once again showing that it pays to ask a local. The people at the shop were very friendly and relaxed, service was quick (10 minutes to fix the problem I had) and the price was right. more

Real Repair and Sale of Bicycles 9/19/2005

The ad says expert repair all makes. Well, that's everything but pre-1960 bicycles. They don't do that. Other than that, this is a nice shop. Friendly staff. And what serious bicycle rider rides an old bike? They tried to talk me into buying a new one instead of fixing the breaks on my cycle. They did know someone who they thought would have parts and could fix it. That was great! They really gave me great customer service. more
