I used this service twice and they were great. I was so stoked to have found someone to give my little baby some attention and comfort while I was away that I even bought my petsitter an itunes card over the xmas break as she was watching my kitty cat. more

Only service i use! 3/30/2011

You are the only professional petsitting service I use.  You are the foundation of the care for my dogs. The responsiveness and value that you provide cannot be beat.  Anyone else who stops by (friends and ex-wives) I see as a little additional contact for the dogs to keep them stimulated.  These other people are not as reliable at you and that is why I like to make sure that I have you guys coming at least once every day when I am gone.  My company had a challenging year, having laid off 1/3 of the employees just a couple weeks ago. My job is safe, but I need to be very careful about my budget.    I have installed a dog door so that Beau and Alli can let themselves out anytime.  They normally eat once/day (same with Luna) so the food and water check that you guys do is very important. more

Very relaxing 3/23/2011

Hi Barb, thanks very much for taking such great care of the cats.  They seemed really relaxed when I got home.  Also, thanks for filling Pepper's water glass!  I didn't want to bother you about that.  That is her latest fad.  She always had to drink from a glass, so now I put them around for her in the bedroom and the living room.  The things we do for these cats... more

True professionals 3/9/2011

I just wanted to write to let you all know how appreciative we are of Deanna and Meredith’s heroic efforts this week.  While it’s very sad to lose Henry I know he was in good hands until he passed and Scarlett was well taken care of afterwards.  Several neighbors have commented on how caring Deanna and Meredith were during this crisis and I think that says a lot about what true professionals they are.  We will always be truly grateful to both of them. more

We found Capital Pet Sitters after having gone through a bad experience with another local pet sitting company.  The company is efficient and Barb, the sitter assigned to us, has taken excellent care of all of our cats, including our special needs cat who was on insulin and anti-seizure meds.  You make a pet- sitting request online and within a day at the most the company has always gotten back to me.   Cats are always relaxed looking and acting when we return from a trip, whether it has been a couple of days or a couple of weeks, so I am confident Barb takes good care of them.  Prices are reasonable for this area (which, admittedly, is rather high-priced). more

The people there are great 1/12/2011

Meredith has taken care of our Great Dane, Elijah since he was 25lbs and could be carried in our arms. She and all of the people at Capital Petsitters are great. We count on them for daily visits during the work week as well as overnight stays when we are out of town. more

A busy schedule, and an apartment, often mean a dog-less life. But, with Capital Petsitters, my dog gets exercise and attention, and I get the peace of mind that he is taken care of and happy. more

Recommended 12/30/2010

I've used CPS for a few years now and have never had any issues or problems. With three large dogs the cost of a kennel is outrageous if I want somewhere that they won't be caged the entire time. Keeping them at home is much better for them - they are not stressed out by the kennel, not exposed to any diseases (one would always come back sick with something) and they get to protect the home while we are away. Much better for me because I'm not spending as much as my vacation to kennel them, and I come home to happy (and spoiled!) dogs. I swear they get more attention from the pet sitter than they do from my own kids! I have recommended them to many people and still do more

Thank you so much Patricia for coming out to look after Waffle and Hobnob at the last minute!  We are home and the girls have given us the ""What, you?  Not the petsitter! Oh man!"" looks.  That's the sign that they had a good time. Thank you again and happy new year! more
