Aweful. In this run-down little house in the heart of Carrboro, NC, this quaint hair salon might seem appealing at first. Don't let them fool you (they are very nice people, in fact). For a mediocre, over-priced ($25), 10-minute clipper cut, I would have gone to the beauty school a few blocks down the street, where it would have at least included a hair wash post-trauma to ease the few hairs still left standing at the back of my neck. And to the staff: You have a missed call from 2010, and they say they want a credit card machine for Christmas. more

I had nothing but a wonderful experience at this salon. Kelly did my cut and Ashlyn did my color. They both have years and years of experience and it shows. My hair looks awesome. As a plus, the parking is free at this funky cool salon Pros: awesome stylists and cool place more

You are kidding Carl, right?\r I just can not believe your review - as mine experience was pretty uncomfortable. \r \r Are you friends of the owner or something? \r \r When I walked in it was pleasant enough and smiles, but even as I waited to be called on next, I noticed the tension in the air. They weren't abusive, but I certainly felt I was not welcomed/wanted as I over heard the 2 ladies hushly telling each other ""you take him"" ..""no you take him"" to the point that I spoke up and asked if they wanted me to go elsewhere. That is when they understood they were caught and I had great hearing, not too mention some basic feelings.... The cut was rushed with no chatting while it was being done. You know the playful banter of the day stuff - but nothing here ! I did get a thanks at the end, not a Thank You for stopping in or anything else positive that MIGHT have convinced me to go back next time I need a cut. Maybe they treat their old established clients better - I hope so - but as a potential New client they did absolutely nothing to make me even think of going back. New Customers are GOLD to small businesses and I for one support smaller independants. But not this one again.... Pros: Started out OK when i walked in....but... I have been getting my hair cut and styled by Kelly for years. She is new to this salon but same great stylist. The salon is very laid back and unpretentious. Everyone there is very friendly and the free parking is a big plus. Pros: experienced staff, laid back atmosphere, free parking Cons: are you kidding me, not one more
