Carefully arranged collection of history 5/23/2009

Viva Cabo Verde! Rhode Island has a large CV population and this museum shows you how far that history goes back and into stories of Africa and Portugal. I liked the photos- there are so many historical shots from a part of Providence that no longer exists. Pros: Arts and crafts, cranberry pickers and whalers more

Packed with history, well presented 5/5/2009

This museum is only a few years old but it already is has an ambitious perspective on Cape Verdean-American life. In a small space it covers so many different parts of our history and culture, you'll want to spend hours there. It's fun to look at the photos and read the exhibits and find relatives or see where your ancestors came from. There are lots of photos of the islands and maps and it makes for a really education trip. I am so happy Cape Verdeans finally have a place like this. Pros: Artifacts you'll never find anywhere else Cons: Small space more
