Canine Obedience College

We took our Dobe to Canine Obedience College for the boot camp. It is a comprehensive program of boarding with training, a private lesson at pick up and 8 follow up training lessons. I was given the name and phone number of the trainer that had my dog so I could call and check on her progress. They even sent me pictures of her during training. She was in a home with a backyard and a family. She came back much improved. Their prices are good compared to other training places. Other places do not offer follow up training which is needed for the success of the dog and family. I would definitely recommend Canine Obedience College to my family and friends. I would also sent my future dogs to them for training. They have been in business a long time and I can see why. Recommend! Recommend! Recommend! more

3 Weeks of Board Training, After Trainers Demonstration STILL, No sit, No Stay,No Down, No Come without multiple corrections, Down was Trainers foot on leash! & leashing wasn't great either! I called Trainer Next Day to Give our feedback on how unsatisfied we were, Trainer gave excuses and shrugged us off, We Called 2 other ranked Trainers w/ 30 yrs experience, we were told it is really unethical to take pups in til there at least 16 weeks old, ours was 11 weeks old.\r Also when they take a dog in for board training they only take home 1 dog home at a time not multiple dogs, and a dog should learn the basics ( sit, stay, come, down, heal ) after about 3 days with a 70% listening ratio due to being a pup. Our Dog which is a Laberdoodle (Pretty intelligent) doesn't respond verbally without multiple corrections to any commands & leashing is about the same!\r \r Beware !!! Beware!!! Beware!!! Beware!!! Beware!!!\r \r Before you pay anything find out exactly what they promise! Get it in writing!\r Don't pay until you see results!\r \r Our advice is go elsewhere! We Wasted $700.00 at Canine Obedience College for excuses! \r \r There is much better & More ethical Trainers Available! Canine Obedience College are the only people I trust to board my babies. They've take great care of them and either the owner or one of the trainers take them home with them at night, unlike many places where your dogs are left alone all night. Both my Lab & Rottweiler mix have always been happy & healthy when I've picked them up. The Cullina Family more

Our lab is very energetic and was difficult to keep off of strangers. She also loved to make a run for the outside anytime the doors opened. After the board and train and a week working with her on our own, she is a different dog. I love walking her now! The trainers at Canine Obedience are great and I've learned a lot from this experience. Would definitely recommend. more

We boarded our dog at the Canine Obedience College in Alsip, IL and were told by the business owner to call the next day to arrange a possible time to pick up our dog. We called four times (over a period of 6 hours) with no answer. On the fourth time at 8 p.m., the owner told us we'd have to pick up our dog after 6:15 p.m. the next day. Our dog was apparently not given adequate access to water, because he drank three bowls of water as soon as we finally got him home. This business should not be trusted with boarding your dog(s). more

When I thought my dog was starting to get a little too vicious, I thought I should send him to doggy boot camp. The staff here really train your dog and give tea lot of discipline. They don't yell or abuse. T feed your dog and let him run around. he prices are really low and I would recommend them! more
