My husband and I decided to go on Valentine's Day based on a recommendation from a friend. Though we are not wine drinkers, we aspire to open our own coffee shop one day. The atmosphere was nice, though we had to wait for a table and very confused by where to sit. There are main tables and surrounding tables with couches. We sat at one and realized that we were sitting at someones table with them. - The staff 'appeared friendly', but I also noticed eye rolls and deep gasps between shuffling around. - Being a first timer it took me a while to discover that all orders were placed at the bar. On my attempt at the bar, I was overlooked and another groups order was taken before mine. I assume they were regulars, or just fit more of the 'mold' of what the place was all about. - It seemed on this night for lovers that there was a large population of people with an alternative lifestyle. My husband and I felt like a minority. - The food was decent enough. The salad tasted good, just had little to no dressing. The spinach and artichoke dip had a different spin with a variety of crackers. We also had the mousse cake, which was quite good. - We would probably go back. - We enjoyed some quirky things like the local art and the system they used to allow the kitchen staff to know where your food went. The outside patio looked beautiful, though we opted for an indoor table. - Price was a little high for what we had, nearly $40 on just a two non alcoholic beverages, a salad, spinach and artichoke dip, one latte, and a piece of cake.
