Awesome food in a tiny package 2/14/2010

Its a tiny little place, but the Garlic Salmon Bento Box will forever stand out in my mind. Their Miso soup is just perfect, and their sushi is exceptionally fresh. \r \r I would definitely recommend this to any person who doesn't mind the smaller gems like these, who want to enjoy great Japanese cuisine and look past the size. In fact, I think it adds to the character of the place... just go slightly before or after lunch; regulars who know about it will fill the place pretty quick. Pros: Amazing sushi, Bento Box, and Miso soup! Cons: it's TINY more

Great bento lunch in Chelsea 3/25/2008

Tiny - (but lots of tables with clean blonde wood, just squeezed together). Rushed - full, packed. Call ahead if you can. They have a bigger bento lunch than anyone else in the area, for $9. Soup/salad, main entry (they even have lots of veggie rolls and veggie tempura) plus a great salmon and garlic butter cutlet - and the califoria rolls AND the dumplings. You can split with someone else, there's so much. Pretty clean, and ALMOST polite. more

Inexpensive Sushi Gem 4/30/2006

What this restaurant lacks in atmosphere and decor, they make up in freshness of their fish. They seem to be getting the word out because every time I go in, it is more and more crowded. In my opinion, this is the best sushi in midtown. I recommend the spicy salmon crunch with avocado roll - it is to die for! You cannot go wrong with their three roll $9 lunch special.
