Been using them 11 years, highly trained crew in animal behavior 5/14/2012

Camp Four Paws has a really highly trained crew and the owner is so dedicated to the well being and happiness of your animal. She is constantly attending conferences, reading, formally studying animal wellness and behavior. She runs a really tight, efficient ship. She has actually caught medical problems overlooked by owners and has saved animals' lives by taking them to the vet hospital. Her whole life is animals and it really shows. more

If you would like to pay a lot to stress out your dog... 4/18/2012

Beautiful area, rediculous prices. You better make sure you get a quote in writing before you board your dog there. We went in expecting to pay $200 and we're charged over $300 for 4 nights of boarding! I tried to reason with the manager who got really hostile. I told her I was going to write a negative review and complain to the BBB. She told me to go ahead! She said this wasn't their first complaint and it wouldn't be their last! I couldn't believe it!\r \r They also proceeded to tell me that my dog started getting aggressive toward the little yippie dogs toward the end of his 3 day stay and that we would be charged $55 because he would have to go into a special training status. First of all I was told that they keep little and big dogs separate, secondly I thought that it was odd that Dexter started getting aggressive seeing as how he is a well socialized dog and we have never had a problem with this. Then I come to find out if two dogs are play-wrestling that they pull them off of ea more

For Love of My Dog! 6/2/2011

I love my Pug and would never leave her anywhere but at Camp Four Paws. The owner is definitely an expert and will care for your dog like she does her own. Lots of space, love, fun and expertise are waiting for your dog here. All of the employees love animals and it's apparant by the care my dog is given. We live nearby and she loves to drop in for visits and looks forward to her next stay. The kennels are huge and kept at the perfect temperature. What fun my dog has playing for hours with the other dogs and with the great people here. It's a one of a kind place for your pet. Awesome! more

Safe, stimulating FUN! 7/22/2010

I've been taking my dogs to Camp Four Paws for 8 years now, first my Tibetan Terrier, Yeti, and now my Havanese, Max. This facility is so on top of what's going on with individual dogs; their care is extraordinary. If a dog seems to be getting tired or over-stimulated, they'll notice and take him inside for a bit of quiet time. I've even heard of the owner catching major medical issues that owners hadn't noticed, and getting prompt--sometimes life saving--treatment. The dogs are outside (separated by size into different areas) for hours each day, monitored/played with at all times by staff members--animal lovers all. And they have a ball--it truly is like a camp for canines! The owner does rigorous temperament testing before she'll accept your dog; they do not take aggressive pets, which makes all the dogs safer and allows them to rollick in great, galloping packs in the huge play area. There are wading pools, play structures, toys, shade and tons of other fun things to delight. This f more

Great Place! My dog was very happy. 12/6/2007

I recently boarded my dog at this neat place. I was very pleased. She came back happy, well exercised and even more polite I think. I dropped by earlier than my appointed pick up time and got to see her running around in this massive play area having the best time. I suppose if I showed up at breakfast time all the dogs would have been inside but it was really an amazing sight. All these nice dogs running around having a great time. It made my day. Definitely worth the drive. more

Great Place, HUGE Play Areas, No unsafe crowding, Serious about safety 12/6/2007

I just picked up my dog from this neat place and had a great experience. My dog came back happy, well exercised and jumped out of the car to run back into the kennel when she saw Niki. It made my heart sing. I love this dog! Anyway, the play areas are massive. There is no crowding. It's quiet and safe. A neighbor came over while I was there and brought her dog. What a statement that is. She told me she feels lucky to live so close by. Quite impressive. I was very pleased. Pros: Huge Facility, nice dogs, no crowding, quiet, safe, fun Cons: The drive out there more
