I have been taking my Husky puppy to Camp Bow Wow for about four months, and I have had the best experience. My dog loves it there. He plays all day, he is placed with dogs of like temperament, and he comes home good and tired. The staff are nice, but I must give one staff member kudos. Omar takes the time to converse with me and give me feedback about how my puppy is doing. You can tell he really loves all the dogs. Finding this place has been the best outlet for my baby. Give it a try, you won't be sorry. more

I have been home sick for days with a very bad cough. Needless to say, walking my big Allie dog has been rough and she really needs her exercise! The best idea I had was to send her to camp for a day or two. I called camp and within a few hours, Allie was on her way! Steve picked her up from my doorstep. Now, I can rest knowing Allie is having a great time with her friends. I know she is in the best hands and I can't thank you guys enough for helping me out today!! I wouldn't know what I would do without Camp...you are all the best!!! more

We've been sending our Boxer/American Bulldog here for 3 years. His experience of camp is summed up by his reaction when we ask him ""Do you want to go to camp?"". He runs around the house like crazy, smiling and wagging his tail and can't run fast enough to the car! The best things about Camp Bow Wow is the personable staff, clean and safe environment, and ease of booking day/overnight care! Try it out -- your dog will love it! more

We've been sending our Siberian to Camp Bow Wow in LIC for about five years now. He goes twice a week, Our dog developed separation anxiety and having him go to Camp has been immensely therapeutic for him. He runs around all day and comes home tired and ready to sleep. Steve and his staff all love our dog immensely. Our dog is a sensitive soul and they look out for him. We also let him stay on overnights, something my husband would NOT do at any other place. It's convenient for us to send him because they pick him up in the morning and return him after work at night in a doggie van. Also we have them bathe and furminate him once a month which is hugely convenient for us, since we both work long hours and want to maximize the quality time we spend with our dog. And the price is really pretty reasonable for doggie daycare, baths and furmination. It's a good value and we feel good about him going. We don't worry when he's there, because we know he's being looked after and having fun. more

I have been visiting this establishment for 2 1/2 years and even till this day, I am astounded at how much these fine people care about their customers. Seldom do you see a team so adamant on pleasing every single person that walks into their store. Everyone is extremely veritable because they truly do love animals. I frequently drop off my Shiba-Inu at the camp and every time I do; Steve, Crystal or Dawn drop her off at my place and she is always in a resplendent mood. This camp is a bastion of unprecedented professionalism. Shogun absolutely loves spending her time at camp and mingles with with the other dogs beautifully. All dogs are treated with the utmost care and if my word is not enough, a webcam is setup at the camp that gives a on-going live feed of everything that transpires. Constant surveillance can be made on your part and I assure you, you will like what you see. Steve, Crystal and Dawn are among the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of bestowing my patronage to. I highly recommend their services to all dog owners. more

Camp Bow Wow IS the Gold Standard!!! 2/9/2012

I've been taking my dog Peyton to different daycares for about 5 years til we came across Camp Bow Wow last year. I can't say enough about the staff and how excited Peyton gets when we're up the street coming to Camp. He yanks me through the door and doesn't look back to say goodbye. I watch him play all day with his buds on the webcams, and when I pick him up he falls asleep in the car and dreams about Camp cuz he runs in his sleep! You can tell the staff are huge dog lovers cuz they're excited to see Peyton every time, and he them. Big Kudos to Omar and Noemi, his favorite Counselors. Like I said, i've been to probably 6 daycares around the city, but this place is by far the biggest and best, and really sets the standard for daycares around Queens and NYC!! more

MY DOG WAS ATTACKED AT CAMP BOW WOW LIC 2/6/2012

Be careful! This place is all about making money, no real care or love for animals! After almost a year of daycare at Camp Bow Wow LIC I decided to take a long vacation and leave my dog boarding with them. When I returned my dog had a serious allergy on his belly, his skin was inflamated and nearlly bleeding, no one at the camp seemed to have noticed or cared to address the case. I took it to the vet and the vet said my dog had an allergy to the product they use to clean their place. After 5 weeks treating with antibiotics the dog has recovered. I went back to leave the dog for daycare, I explained what happened and they said they use strong hospital chemicals on their floor and that they would write a note on my file to no longer use it on my dog's cabin next time. So I left the dog there for day care and 2 hrs later I get a call from my vet that my dog was attacked by another dog inside the Campbowwow LIC , and was taken there with open injuries on 2 legs and that it needed to have anesthesia and several stitches.... I called the camp and they said they were NOT liable for this, that my dog was NOT A VICTIM since he was the one who started humping the other dog!!! What???? The owner Steve Neagus wouldn't even listen to me over the phone... trying to interrupt while I tried to tell him about my previous experiences on that place... If you love your dog DO NOT TAKE IT TO CAMP BOW WOW LIC! My dog is now under care on a local VET. The owner of the other dog offered to pay what made me wonder... They do take aggressive dogs on camp and risk the life of our dogs...The INTERVIEW process is nothing but BS. Any dog will be allowed in regardless of them being aggressive or not, as long as you can pay their rates. My dog doesn't know how to bite, so the dog who attacked him is probably still playing in their camp putting all of your dogs in risk of being attacked. Say NO to camp bow wow! more

Love this place!!! 1/15/2012

I bring my dog to CBW five days a week and she couldn't be happier - well maybe if I took her seven days ;). The staff is caring and attentive. They treat her like she was their own and give her such special care. She comes home exhausted from having so much fun and can't wait to go back the next morning. I love being able to watch her on the webcams and hearing about her day when I pick her up at night. I especially love the periodic report cards they give me on her behavior. The space is large and the dogs are separated by size and temperament for their safety which is great. The owner Stephen gives such personal care to everyone that walks in. It's nice to see such a grass roots business growing ing LIC. Can I say anything more about how great this place and the staff are? :) more

My Pugs and I love it! 12/6/2011

My sister and I were looking for a daycare for our 3 pugs and found Camp Bow Wow online. And we're lucky we did. Meeting them the first time, not only were they great with us (nervous pet owners) but they were fantastic with our pugs. Mochi, Macho and Marshmallow love it there, The love it so much that Macho (who normally doesn't like going anywhere if we're not there) RUNS, RUNS to them. I love that they have webcams in every dog area, it's so great being able to watch your dogs interact with the other dogs and the great people there. Also boarding at Camp Bow Wow is fantastic. They are so thorough in getting information about your dogs like their eating habits and schedule that you feel safe leaving your dogs with them. So if you are looking for a daycare or boarding for your dogs Camp Bow Wow is the place to choose. more

Best Doggy Daycare in the City 7/4/2011

I adopted a super sweet but SUPER high-energy puppy in December and found Camp Bow Wow by accident while looking for trainers. I'm so lucky I did. Camp Bow Wow has helped us so much. Instead of being home alone on days where I work long hours, she spends the time at camp socializing and playing nice with other dogs. So no ""working doggy-mom"" guilt. The staff totally rocks, knew our names after our first visit and truly cares about my pup. She is so excited when I say we are going to Camp Bow Wow, she won't sit still in the car! This is most definitely money well spent. They also have a free interview day, so it's worth checking out to see if it's a good fit for your dog. Mine comes home exhausted after her days at camp and because of that, listens and behaves better the few days after. I could go on and on. This place is just plain AWESOME. more

Rest Assured Doggy Mommys and Daddys!! 3/16/2011

My husband and I adopted our little guy in Sept of '10 from a shelter and got a very sweet, loveable hound mix, who does have some people issues. It breaks our heart to think that he was abused by anyone, but he clearly must of been because he is very skiddish around new people, especially men. In February of 2011 we were planning a weekend away and got a referral from doggy parent friends who had used Camp Bow Wow and loved it. So we brought our little Charlie in for his 'interview' session (he had to be approved to make sure he could interact with the other dogs ok). He went in a few more times for daycare just to get adjusted before we left him up there for 3 nights. Besides the great attention and enthusiasm the caretakers give to the dogs, one of the best things about CBW is that you can watch your doggy while your away! We brought our laptop with us and when we were in the room of the hotel we were easily able to watch Charlie running around and chasing the other dogs. What made us feel completely assured? At one point during the weekend we saw one of the male workers sit down beside Charlie, and we saw Charlie put his head in the guy's lap - something he would never do unless he felt completely safe and comfortable! Whenever we bring Charlie there now we know he will get lots of attention, affection and play time. My only 'complaint' about the experience was that it was mandatory to give them 2 credit card numbers, with them saying they would only charge the card you preferred. Somehow our communications must have gotten crossed, b/c the card I DIDN'T want any charges on, got charged. So, just a word of advice, be very specific on what card you want charged. Other than that, if you are looking for a clean, sweet, respected doggy care place, CBW is the way to go! more

We love it!!! 3/9/2011

Our dog Kennedy loves Camp Bow Wow. He can't wait to get there (starts getting excited in the car the closer we get) and he is exhausted at the end of the day when we pick him up. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and you can tell that they really love what they do. The webcams are great too for checking in on him. The location is big and they section off dogs based on their size. It's bigger than other doggie day cares in the area and they spend more time playing with and taking care of the dogs. If we could afford it, we would bring him there every day. Wish they stayed open a little later (only open till 7) but that's really the only down side. This is a great place to take your dog. more

Our dog loves going to camp! 3/7/2011

We boarded our cocker spaniel buck a few different places but once we found Camp Bow Wow we found the best place in NYC. The staff knows our dog and his personality. He's a shy, older dog, so we know he will get the extra care he needs. It feels more like we are leaving our dog with friends rather than just some place where we have no idea what is going on. They have on line doggie cams so we can tune in to see him playing, and he gets a report card that highlights what he did while he was at camp. Take your dog to Camp Bow Wow for daycare or boarding and you won't be disappointed! more

What a treat! 1/4/2011

This has become a favorite treat for our Siberian Husky. She has so much energy to burn and Camp Bow Wow lets her play with her friends for hours on end. We have boarded her here and sent her to day care, and every time we have an amazing experience. The staff is so friendly and caring. more

Queens Best Doggie Daycare & Boarding 3/15/2010

CBW is one of the best camps for dogs there is. The staff are great. My Lexi loves going there when we need to have daycare or boarding. And when she comes home, she is totally pooped. Love the way the staff interacts with the pups. I have even seen them sometimes go around & hug the pups. They will answer any questions you might have. I would recommend CBW to anyone that asks me where do I leave Lexi; I tell them she goes to Camp Bow Wow!!!!!!!!! Also those Cams are great! You can watch your pup have fun..Thank you CBW for all that you do for Lexi... Pros: The staffs interaction w/the pups Cons: nothing that I can think of more

Love the Camper Cams! 3/12/2010

I'll start by saying I'm very neurotic. I'm also crazy about my dogs. Put the two together, and, well, you can guess that I'm probably one of the toughest critics. They require camper interviews which is great because it says their not out for your money, and you can rest easy that some other dog won't be bullying your pups around. I love love love the camper cams. You can check in at any point during the day and see your pups. I went wild when I saw them on the screen the first time! Each time I logged on to check, there was someone in the area playing with them. I loved knowing that my dogs were being watched closely by a trained staff member. I never like leaving my dogs alone, so it's nice to know I have a place I can trust and check in as often as I want! I've called with questions, probably 10 times already, and each time, I get thoughtful, friendly staff. I highly recommend camp bow wow! more

great place, friendly staff 3/3/2009

To say I'm an over-protective mom of my one year old mutt, named Tipsy would be the understatement of the century. I love my dog more than anything in the world (sorry family but you know its true). Since she is a rescue I feel especially portective over her. So I was a little reluctant when we had to board her for a week over Christmas but Camp Bow Wow has been an absolute blessing for Tipsy. My doggie absolutely loved it there and she can be scared of people at times. The socialization has actually really helped her build trust and she came home a better dog. We have used camp bow wow a few times now for overnight boarding or just for a day and it's always been a great experience. I highly recommend camp bow wow for any nervous pet owner out there, they will put your mind at ease instantly and your dog will come home very happy. more
