Friendly staff and great selection 2/17/2012

The staff is very nice. I went in there looking for a digital camera. One of the staff helped me look for a portable size camera so I could use it for taking pictures with friends and family on a night out, nothing fancy. Thank you! more

Total Fraud at Camera's and Lenses 12/24/2011

I bought an iPhone 4 from Cameras and Lenses on Dec 17, 2011. These guys Mario and Nelson told me they were selling me the latest iPhone 4S. Mario specifically said it was the “iPhone 4S the latest one. Unlocked.” When I opened it up at home I realized it was an iPhone4 GSM from 2 years ago -- The one that had the big recall for not working properly. When I called the store back and said they had given me the wrong box, Nelson said there was a no-return policy and wouldn't even talk to me. He said they couldn't be expected to know when there phones were made and that it wasn’t their problem. This is total fraud that wouldn't survive anywhere else in the USA or Canada. When trying to get the iPhone working, it became clear that it wasn't even new. There was only 5 months of warranty left on it and the battery was dead (not the original). Moreover the iPhone was locked when Mario specifically told me it was unlocked. Trying to get hold of Mario over the next few weeks was futile. I was told to call back several times. First he was supposedly on vacation, then living out of the country. This is COMPLETE FRAUD. Camera & Lenses is a criminal organization and should be shut down. more

Avoid This Store 11/4/2011

AVOID THIS STORE! I should have known better after just a few minutes in the store that it would be best to leave. We do not have a camera store in our small city so I stopped in to look. The camera lens I wanted to look at wasn`t available and the clerk pulled out a different brand. I will say this - the sales pitch was top notch and I fell for it. I did not realize until we walked out (b/c my sweet husband paid the bill) that the receipt said all sales were final. Uh oh. Additional red flags deepened my dread upon realizing the receipt did not even have an itemized list - just one dollar amount that said ""tax included"" and all three price stickers had been removed. We returned the next day to learn they would call the mgr. OF course he never called back. We returned again the next day and were informed we could exchange but it had to be apples for apples so I couldn`t pick something different in the store for the amount of money I had spent. Finally with lots of persistence an exchange was made that was better, but I still over spent and get this - the clerk wrote ""satisfied completely with purchase"" on the second receipt AFTER I initialed the exchange. AVOID THIS STORE! more

I agree --- Do not shop here!!! 8/25/2011

I agree with some of the above reviews. i found their advert in a tourist coupon brochure after not being able to locate the shop I had checked out at home. \r Totally friendly guys but they conned me into buying a completely different camera than the one I came in for. There's nothing wrong with the camera, only the price. When I checked it out at home I realized I've payed more than the double price for the camera I bought!!!\r I think their strategy is to make you buy another camera than the one you came in for since you won't know the price of that, the one I originally looked at was resonably priced but that was probably because the guy realized I knew the price of that. \r I know I should have done my research of this shop better before I came there but they felt serious, still I only have my self to blame, but I could have spent those extra few hundrerd USD on better things. \r Now I just hope that this can prevent others to fall into the samet trap.\r DO NOT BUY STUFF AT THIS SHOP!!!!!!\r more

Warning - Organized Mafia 11/8/2010

DO NOT BUY IN THIS STORE!!! - There are a bunch of thiefs, the people in the store are very friendly and aproachable at the begining, experts in acting, they take advantage of the fact that they know you are on vacation and you will not have the time to come back. They will charge you from 3 to 5 times more of the real value, of course there's no return nor refundable policy, and if you want to exchange the product for another one they will make sure that price on the new product is also very well inflated. This store should be closed and they should loose their license and these people put in jail. more

Scam artist- Don't ever shop here 11/7/2010

Was shown and sold on a Sigma lens for a Canon SLR, was checked out and handed my black bag with another sigma lens that was 1/4 of the price and quality, with the bar code scraped off of the box after I signed the receipt that states All Sales Final - No Refunds.\r I had not even left the establishment before I noticed. They made no attempts to correct the problem, just told me to dispute the sale with my credit card carrier. Never enter this place and expect to be treated any different. They make a living off robbing tourist that visit the area. more

Camera & Lenses in Orlando 3/12/2010

One should only deal with authorized retailers like Harmon. you will pay way to much at those small electronic stores which have no returns policy only exchange with 30% restocking fee. Some products have been discontinued 5 years ago and good luck with any warranty. Don't think you are getting a deal with those coupons > believe me you are not > you are still getting ripped off.\r Avoid Camera Express on W. Irlo Bronson at all costs. Cons: extremely overpriced, ask about return policy more

Avoid this place!!! 12/23/2009

Bought a camera lens was told it was a $350 lens, but found out later they sell for about $20! Same thing with other items. They tell and show you prices that are much higher than they really cost, then throw in some small things so you think you are really getting a deal. Sorry to say you cannot trust anything they say. When you try to call back they avoid you. This place should be put out of business. Pros: Location Cons: Inflate prices and tell you they are giving you a discount. more

my recent visit 8/9/2009

I went to different stores around the area and prices a little higher than at best buy, the last store happened to be this one and the price was lower than others, but still about 20 or 30 more than best buy. what i liked was the attention and how professional they were, Im very happy with them, the camera and the store. I would recommend them. Pros: very friendly salespeople, very professional Cons: prices are not bad more

Take care. Avoid this shop. 2/15/2009

AVOID AT ALL COSTS --- SCAMMER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!! 1/20/2008

Typical shop you choose when you need a ""quick fix"" and spot it from the road. When you go here to purchase a very basic and simple item, you'll be hard sold on other items compatible with your equipment and it will seem like you are getting super savings of about ""50% off"" but beware because there is a ""no refund/exchange only"" policy and it will not be reviewed. \r There are no indicators inside of the shop whatsoever that state this policy -- you only learn after the fact when one of the ""employees"" points out the fine print on the receipt. \r My boyfriend was hard sold on a wide angle lens for his camera, a UV protection filter and a camera bag; all of which came to be around $820 with the 6.5% sales tax and was refused a refund after he changed his mind. On Amazon dot com, I purchased the exact same items and more for only $129.99. The scam artist who conned him into all the extras with his ""50% off"" pitch tried to show us a catalogue that reflected the ""true value"" of all the items and was speechless when I pointed out how little I paid for my accessories online. They also got very nervous and evasive when we called them out on being scam artists and threatened to go to the Bureau for Better Business, which you better believe we did.\r On the business cards provided, no information is printed regarding who the owner or general manager might be...We spoke with two people in reference to who this might be, and were given two different answers -- the first being that he lives in Miami and the second being that he lives in California. We were also informed that they do not give out his specific information.\r We went back only FOUR DAYS after the initial sale, and were told that now there was absolutely NOTHING that could be done -- not even a lousy exchange. \r Moral of the story -- go a few miles down the road to Festival Bay Mall for camera accessories because only legal US citizens work there and they will not try to scam you out of your hard earned money. Pros: convienient, personable at first Cons: scammers more

avoid at all costs 12/30/2007

DEcember 2007 - I was also ripped off using the same techniqies as the other reviewer. was sold an obsolete Lumix DM6 camera for twice the proce of an current F18.\r Do not use these people they have been ripping off tourists since 2004 - enetr their name in google and see the number they have ripped off. Cons: they are simply waiting to trap tourists with no knowledge of the area more
