As a college student juggling a full course load, a part-time job, and extracurricular activities, I am always looking for ways to save time. I originally chose Cameo Cleaners as my dry cleaner because it was the closest to where I live. I have stayed with Cameo Cleaners because of the quality service that I'm provided with on each visit. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive and I knew from the moment I dropped my first suit off, that my clothes would be well taken care of. While college students often feel that they need to cut back on costs, I have chosen not to compromise the quality of my dry cleaning service, and so I will definitely remain loyal to Cameo Cleaners. more

I was extremely nervous about turning over my vintage wedding dress (originally worn by mother in the 1970s, hence fragile and absolutely irreplaceable) to anyone, but Cameo Cleaners won my confidence from the start. Patient and knowledgeable discussion of the dress before I brought it to the store - a thorough inspection on-site before I turned it over - and follow-up calls prior to the event. They delivered the dress in perfect condition to Brooklyn at no extra cost and followed my complicated drop-off instructions to the letter. The dress looked beautiful - and Cameo even sent a congratulations card for our wedding! I could not have asked for more attentive, careful and professional service - it was worth every dime. Needless to say I will be entrusting them with ""archiving"" the dress now that I've worn it. I couldn't recommend them more highly. My roommate suggested I begin using Cameo Cleaners -- she told me they're more expensive than a regular cleaners, but the same quality as Madame Paulette and Hallak at a lower cost. So I did. And they're terrific -- they pick up, drop off and do a great job with the finest clothing. \r \r My philosophy is that if you invest in clothing, you should also invest in caring for it. But I can't justify spending what Mme Paulette charges, but it's disappointing when good clothing is returned after being cleaned looking less than new. This will not happen with Cameo. \r \r To keep costs down, I send Cameo my good clothing, suits, etc. but I reserve items like shirts for a regular cleaners. \r \r If I have one suggestion for Cameo -- use less tissue paper (it's hard to fit such bulky items in my tiny NYC closet). It also seems a little wasteful. But, I do understand why you need to sometimes -- keeping the shape of clothing is important. \r \r But they're awesome and I HIGHLY recommend them! more

Cameo Cleaners do not disappoint when it comes to luxury goods cleaning. i have been looking for a while for a dry cleaner that specializes in luxury goods and have finally arrived! highly recommending this place for all purse, shoes and high end fashion apparel cleaning! my leather bags came back looking almost brand new and i experiences very professional service. :) more

These guys are GREAT!!! They managed to turn a dress that I had completely damaged in the laundry and turned totally pink back to 100% paper white! It was incredible! They also have fixed a ton of my shoes, which is really awesome! They also fixed a dress that I've asked about 10 other places to try and repair and none said they could, but they were able to! I highly recommend going to them for everything, whether it be, a rug cleaning, a shoe repair, a purse fixing, regular dry cleaning, anything really, they are great!! :) more

Excellent Dry Cleaners! \r \r They do it all! They are quick, friendly, and overall exceptional dry cleaners as they don't screw up my shirts like all the other places I've tried. They even fix the buttons that other dry cleaners have messed up without charging me extra. The people who work here are always super nice and reliable! I've never had such great experience with laundry/tailor/dry cleaners in New York City! I'm happy to have found the best place! Cameo is by far the best cleaners in the Gramercy area and perhaps one of the best in the city. They are the only cleaners I trust delicate, hard to clean items such as dresses with beading. They take the time to actually make sure each item comes back to you in the best possible way. Additionally in the way of customer service they are top notch. I have been using Cameo since I moved to the neighborhood over 11 years ago and would highly recommend them. more

I was distressed when I accidentally damaged a gorgeous, black and white striped, silk dress that I purchased earlier in the summer. I attempted to remove a stain from it myself and the black dye bled into the white portions of the dress. I brought the dress to Cameo Cleaners and - within a week - they cleaned the dress so thoroughly and carefully that it looks better than it did when it was brand new! Not only was the dress cleaned perfectly but the considerate nature and consistent, high-level of customer service I received from everyone at Cameo Cleaners left me with nothing but the utmost affection for this cleaners. I intend to recommend Cameo Cleaners to anyone I know who needs a quality cleaners and will certainly return myself. more

They are consistently good quality -- I'm always happy with the way the work comes out.\r \r But, the price per item is 1.5 to 3 times higher than other places in the neighborhood. \r \r I now take challenging or stained items there... but my everyday stuff goes elsewhere, I can't justify paying their far-higher prices.\r \r Friendly service at the desk, although it can be very slow. more
