I thought this was a good place to live for the first few months I was here. Now, well, I had no other choice than to sign a new lease and the rent went up over $100 per month which I thought was a bit much. Since moving here I have seen police being called for domestic disturbances numerous times, police out there due to fights between residents, police being there due to resident complaints about noise. Management doesn't seem to care as they really don't do anything to help the situations. If you complain they tell you they will look into the matter. My dog was attacked by a dog not on a leash. Management asked me who owned the dog - I knew the building and the vehicle the owner drove - They did nothing nor did they help me collect on the vet bill I had to pay. Most everyone I have met during the year I have been there are leaving once their lease is up. From what I understand the place is really going to the dogs. If at all possible stay away from here - find a community that really does care about their residents and this place doesn't more

I could not agree with these reviews any more! They are very accurate and please, please think before moving into these apartments. They look very nice from the inside and out but the people who live there and work there say it all. The people who work in the front office do not care about anything....no need to complain because they will not fix it or handle it or anything. BUT...what they will do is take all your money. The refrigerater makes weird loud noises and the toilet over flows atleast 3 times a week. Nothing got done about it. After complaints and complaints and complaints, after the law has been called out there and talked to the office themselves, and more complaints my family member decided to finally get the heck out of there. They would not work with her for nothing. Paid $1400 to get out of the lease...then 60 days to close....REALLY...It doesn't take that long to close on buying a house. All they want is an extra month of rent which is absolutely stupid. Do not move here, do not let anyone you know move here. People party in the parking lot late at night hanging all over peoples cars, trashing the parking lot, yelling and drinking all hours of the night. Did I mention all the complaining and NOTHING gets done about it but draining your wallet. This is by far the worst place I have ever seen in my life as far as any kind of customer service. People who screw people out of money the way this place does is pure disgusting to me. more

Great, VERY NICE new upgraded apartments with perfect location 8/9/2012

Before finding Camden, I had already put a deposit down on a much more expensive one bedroom apartment in Cary. It didn't have a washer/dryer and the apartments had not been upgraded in some time. I heard about Camden about 2 weeks before moving and had a tour of their upgraded apartments. I was amazed at how nice and new they were. The quality was top notch :) After meeting with a leasing agent, I signed my lease for Camden and called the higher price apartment in Cary to let them know I had changed my mind. I might have lost a $100 deposit but it was completely worth it--- the Camden staff made the process of moving easier than ever. Since moving in I love my apartment and have not had one problem. The community is great, the people in my building have been nothing but helpful. A neighbor even helped 'haul' a few pieces of heavy furniture up stairs when I was moving in. more

Would not move here! 5/17/2012

I moved here looking for a 2 bed 2 bath apt. I was shown the model and taken to the building where my aparment would be. It was quiet . Since moving in there has cars spinning wheels at night motercycle stolen and several times apex poliece have been there. I am on second floor and when people above walk my light fixture shake. I can hear people walking up and down steps all night. There is suppose to be security but i have only seen 2 times and they just rode through and did not stop to see what people standing in parking lot were doing. These are cheap aparments. Can not wait till lease is up or i can get out! more

You Might Be Sorry 1/11/2012

We sold our home in July 2011 and moved into the Camden Reunion Apartments in Apex, NC while we looked for a new home. We signed a 3 month lease for $869 per month and stayed 1 additional month before we were able to close on a new home. The apartment was a two bedroom 2 bath handicapped apartment (the only 1st floor available at the time) of about 850sq ft. I won't get into the complications of our moving day except to say that it was very stressful because we had to be packed, clear of the old house, and up to Apex before the office closed. This could have been alleviated if the rental agent would have completed ALL of our pre-move in requirements and could have simply left the key in our apartment or given us a key up front. On the night that I was moving in I noticed 2 policemen on bicycles patrolling the complex. I thought that was odd since I had never seen that in an apartment complex before. I was later to find out why. We completed unloading the truck that night and I parked the tow dolly in front of the apartments and the truck in an area where there were lots of open spaces. The next day when I went to hook up the dolly, it had two flat tires. I had to tow the dolly to the U-Haul place on the flats. I was approached by this young guy when I was out looking at the tires and he started giving me crap about the dolly being parked in front of the apartments. Since none of the parking spaces are assigned, I told him to shove off. His words and this action told me who flattened the dolly tires. The next morning I go out and find two tires on my SUV flattened. I was livid! I went to the office and the rental agent on duty was ambivalent about it. I then asked her about the police patrols and she told me there was no problems in the apartments. After move in we noticed that the paint in the kitchen was coming off. Upon closer examination we discovered that the cabinets had been painted over without cleaning grease of of them so the paint was just coming off. The cabinets were filthy under the paint. The gym was not secured nor did most of the equipment work. The car wash vacuum cleaner did not work. The only reason that I remark about this is these were touted as wonderful amenities of the complex. The next thing I noticed was my air conditioning would not cool the apartment down. I notified maintenance and was told by the maintenance guy that they had just worked on the unit. Two weeks later of having a window unit stuck in my window at one of the hottest times of the year the problem was solved. Then came my next problem. I was told that I had to park my boat and utility trailer in a designated area of the complex where I couldn't see them and there was no security cameras. Long story short, my almost new utility trailer was stolen from the complex. Luckily, my renter's insurance and my car insurance combined was able to replace the trailer. The apartment complex allows dogs and you really need to watch where you walk. The complex provides doggy stations but I noticed most people do not use them. There is a $300 non refundable charge for pets. I had a couple of run ins with an upstairs neighbor because he didn't like the smoke from my hibachi grill going up into his apartment. Last of all I was sent a statement from the apartments after I moved out that didn't really say anything about me owing a bill. But I received an email stating that if I didn't come in an give them $337 more, they would send me to collections. I went and paid it after I found out I owed it. My total paid in to Camden Reunion was $4,800. For 4 months that comes to $1,200 per month to live in (by far) the worst apartments I have ever lived in. I do hope that this review will help you avoid being involved with a potentially awful rental experience like mine. more

Not the best 7/11/2011

I lived in Camden for over a year and here are the pros and cons: Pros: -Close to US 1 and Walmart. -Decently sized apartments -Some of the staff is friendly -Parking lots repaved Cons: -The pool is ALWAYS packed or closed for maintenance -The neighbors are loud at ALL hours of the night and the staff will do absolutely nothing about it, no matter how much you complain. -The office doesnt let you know when youve had a package dropped off there -No assigned parking so, if you work late, youre going to be given quite a walk to your apartment -Had my car hit half a dozen times in the parking lot and the person ran every time and someones motorcycle was stolen. The late night ""security"" officer is useless. -Maintanence takes days to show up and does a half assed job fixing things -Your lease says they change your air filters and smoke alarm batteries every 3 months. Good luck ever seeing them do that -They give you less than 24hr notice when they will be doing anything to your apartment -Several nails in the ceiling worked their way out -LaVerne is easy to get ahold of when youre a prospective renter. Once youve signed that lease, she wont answer any emails or return your calls. -Required $50 added to your rent for cable whether you want it or not. -Little gym is crazy hot -People dont clean up after their dogs -Pay some sort of deposit because they will charge you ridiculous fees for everything thats already been cleaned or anything even remotely damaged. Even for things damaged before you moved in. more

Nice and quiet 6/8/2008

Affordable rents, landscaped area and conveniently located to stores. New Super Walmart is up the street. Close by but is actually located in Holly Springs. Located right off of US 1 so if you need to get to I40 or the beltline, it will not be too far out of the way. \r Maintenance is quick to respond as well. Some even live on site. more
