we recently moved to the neighborhood and brought our elderly dog to the vet to check her out. I asked for an honest opinion on her conditon and that is exactly what I got. They did not try and sell me tons of things to do her and gave me my opitons. I really truly appreciate the honesty and the vibe I got in the vet office. Very commpasoinate and very caring! Will def bring my pets back! more

I was in on Monday 9/23 with Layla, saw Dr. Gothier, and wanted to share my experience. She was wonderful to work with. She sat down on the floor with Layla while she examined her and discussed treatment options. Besides being so good with Layla and making her as comfortable as possible, she was also very thorough. We did some diagnostic tests, including blood work, as well as discuss others that might also be beneficial. Dr. Gothier also gave her fluids because she was dehydrated. She made sure to call and check on her the next morning as well as update Dr. Lapham, her primary Veterinarian. It took a long time for Layla to come out of it but she is doing really well now, with the exception of a little less energy, but not much. We both really liked Dr. Gothier and the overall experience. more

I listen to people at work talk about their experiences with the veterinarians they take their animals too and I'm so thankful for Camden Pet Hospital. It may cost a little more, but the peace of mind their loving care and attention to my dogs gives me, is worth it. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful, but we have a special bond with Dr. Fetzer! more

Camden Pet Hospital gives exceptional veterinary care. The front desk, the technicians and the veterinarians are all first rate. I always feel that my dogs are cared for in the loving, gentle manner I want for them. The ONLY negative thing that I can think of is the parking. more

We've been customers for years and love Camden Pet Hospital. They are have helped us through some tough health issues with our pets. They always take the time to answer questions and make sure our pets have the best care. The entire staff is professional, friendly and compassionate. When we take the pets in for their annual vaccines and checks, it feels like they have been waiting just for us! Love this place and the people. It is wonderful knowing our pets have the exceptional care provided by Camden Pet Hospital. more

Worst Vet Imaginable 4/21/2012

I recently took my pet to the Camden pet hospital and found them unprofessional and extremely inexpierenced. After I made my appointment I had questions and found it close to impossible to get through on the phone. I eventually just showed just up to my appointment. I have a large breed dog and the rooms were very small whch made it uncomfortable for him. After waiting for quite some time a vet tech or vet came in (i'm not sure because I recieved no introduction) and approached my pet head on to take his heart rate! Who approaches a dog they have never met head on!!! I was so shocked that I left without getting treatment for my pet and went to another vet. I would not suggest anyone take thier pet here especially of you have a larger breed. more

Best care for your precious pets!!! 3/26/2012

I don't even know where to start about Camden Pet Hospital, they are all AMAZING. We have been taking our pets there since I was little. My parents started and when I grew up and went on my own, I continued to take my own there. My older dog has some health issues, he has a bone marrow suppression issue, and they are all so incredibly amazing with keeping up on his tests, understanding how nervous he gets coming in and being so patient and kind with him. My little puppy had an altercation with another dog in December, she had a mouth/dental injury. The staff ALL went above and beyond just 'fixing' her. I had phone calls, emails, facebook messages, etc...checking in on her and making sure she was doing okay. The staff ALWAYS go that little extra step to make sure you know they really CARE about your precious babies, I STRONGLY recommend taking your pets to Camden, if you want the best care you can get, you will get it there! more

Not your friendly vet clinic! 2/4/2012

I recently stepped into the office to meet the vet and get a second opinion for the condition of my dog's skin. I was planning to board him there for the weekend and I called a total of 5 times to confirm that the apointment was set up. I finally got through and the person answering the phone seemed very irritated that I had called. When I went for the appointment they pressured me into running tests that I was not comfortable doing. The tests didn't give any results. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THERE! I was not impressed. more

worst experience ever 6/21/2011

On 5/20/11 My less than 5 year old Dog was declared dangerous & I had to have him euthanized, the police forced me to go to Camden, where I was Not allowed to be with him when he died. I loved my boy as a father loves a son.\r When I asked why I was told "its policy" leaving me shattered & feeling like I was forced to betray my boy.\r The following Mon as I was trying to change the cremation status from mass to individual a Camden tech was very rude to me, talking down to me as though she was better than I.\r When I picked up my boys ashes 1.5 weeks later I again asked for an explaination.\r A very sweet receptionist put me in a room to talk to the owner, then here comes the same rude tech from before.\r I asked her for an explaination that would ease my heart & let me sleep, she said "its policy"\r for impounds,rabies quarentines & Dogs with a case # (meaning declared).\r I asked what the drug was that they used on him, she refused saying we dont have to tell you what meds we use.\r I asked f more

They truly care about their clients (both animal and human) and they were willing to help out in any and every way possible. Wendy and the doctor were so compassionate and understanding when I had to put my dog to sleep. I had never been there before and didn't know what to expect, but felt their support and care for myself and my pet. They even sent a sympathy card after. I would definitely take another pet there to receive checkups and care. Thank you so much! more

I've been bringing my pets there for almost 3 years and I don't think I am overcharged, but I do wish I could restrain myself in giving my permission for things that don't really have to be done.\r All in all, I wouldn't go to another vet because I think they are reasonably priced. I brought in my dog because he had diarrhea. There was no diagnosis, but Dr Fetzer' gave a medication that was effective. No complaints, relief at the prices, but that visit cost over $150. more

Compassionate Care 6/15/2009

My husband and I recently had to put our cat down after sharing her company for 20 years. We had just moved into the Camden area from S. Mpls and were not sure where to take our kitty. We called Camden Pet Hospital and they got us in right away and even had a room waiting for us when we arrived. Even though this was a very sad time they explained to us the process and were very compassionate even though she was not a regular patient. more
