We are extremely pleased with the results of the new roof. We had hoped it would reduce the heat build up in side, but had no idea how much. ?Although I have yet to have the opportunity to complete a project with Cambridge ? my experience with them thru pre-construction, bidding and value engineering has been excellent. I appreciate both the knowledge and creativity they bring to the table during the pre-construction phase ? looking for opportunities to bring the project in at a lower cost while not sacrificing the objective of the finished product.? I met Cambridge Builders and Roofing about 5 years ago on my first construction project in Park City, which was the Tower Club @ Empire Pass for Talisker Mountain. I was impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail and the fact that they didn?t just come back to me with problems, but in most cases came with a solution for some unresolved issue or detail. I also found them to be prompt and that they performed their work on schedule and with high quality craftsmanship. When I finally got fed up with my old roof leaking just about everywhere, I knew it was time to purchase a new one. I requested bids from two companies with large ads in the local yellow pages, but was hesitant because there was no way to know for sure how good a job they?d do for me. So, I started to ask around and a family member who had just completed doing business with Cambridge said I should call them. I did and Eric their Estimator came out promptly and gave me a quote. The pricing was very good and based on the positive feedback I received from the family member, I decided to give Cambridge the job. From that point forward, my expectations were blown away by the level of professionalism and quality I received from Cambridge. Their crew showed up early?worked very hard?and left late, made sure I understood what they were doing, and left me with a great looking roof, that was done on time. In fact, they spent extra time to pick up all the nails that fell on the ground, so my Kids would not step on them. I know, because I spent a lot of time after they left looking for the loose nails and I couldn?t find any. My roof has been perfect ever since and I?ve made it a point to refer them to all my neighbors, one of which had Cambridge do their roof, which they too were very happy with. Several months after the job was complete I received a follow up call from the foreman simply to ask if everything was OK. We just bought a house and it was in need of a new roof and swamp cooler. We searched early spring and Cambridge was very anxious to get our business and offered to install the new swamp cooler at the same time. They said that when they were done, all we would have to do is turn it on. Not the case. They didn't install the swamp cooler correctly. There was a leak causing hard water stains on our brand new roof. They told us that it was our problem. Our 4 month old roof at the side where the swamp cooler is looks like it is 20 years old now. There are parts missing for a correct install of the swamp cooler that they don't have and won't get for us. the won't fix the hard-water stained shingles. They never checked for leaks from under the swamp cooler when it was installed. When they pulled the water line up through a metal hole, it caused a small leak that was leaking in the attic. It eventually caused our closet ceiling to collapse. They told us to get a plumber to fix it and send them the bill. We did but they are now ignoring our calls and not returning our calls. I hope I can save someone from an absolute nightmare with this review of Cambridge Roofing. Pros: Nice people before you sign the contract Cons: No help when their work fails more
