It's OK 7/9/2009

Pros: Very low turnover. My child has had the same primary teachers all year. They have all been with Calvary a few years. Great facilities. Large enough so kids can go on walks indoors when it's too cold out or raining. Nice playgrounds - spacious and well stocked. Separate areas for big vs little kids. Nice gyms. Daycare classes change every August, same kids/friends in the class all year. Christian facility.\r \r Cons: Little personal attention. The lead teacher has told me many times that my child is 1 of 800. I very rarely see the lead teacher interacting with my child either one on one or group play. Some comments make me feel like the focus is on making things easiest for the teachers, not best for the kids. Was told to give my kid motrin in the morning just in case. \r \r Overall I feel my child is safe and getting lots of great experiences by socializing with kids and meeting lots of teachers. Hoping I like her next class better. more

We love this preschool program! 2/1/2008

Calvary Child Development Center is everything I had hoped to find in a preschool program. They have a very large program but everything is well-controlled and it never seems as big as it really is because everyone on staff gives each family personal attention. My kids love going to school each day and have been exposed to so many different learning experiences. Kids go to Spanish, Science, and gym classes in addition to the learning they do with their individual teachers on a daily basis. The classrooms are bright, cheery and accessible to the kids and every teacher we've had has been outstanding. I have multiples and was called specifically to see if I wanted them in one class or separated into different classes. \r \r The attention they pay to security is unmatched by any other programs we looked into. Each child has a badge with a bar code that must be scanned in upon arrival in the mornings and scanned out at pickup in the afternoons. There are also security attendants at eac more

Calvary Church 11/30/2005

I like to attend Calvary Church for this reason: I love going there because it makes me feel great. The people who go there are nice and not-at-all judging. The pastor teaches only Bible-based things, as well as the teachers. The church is huge, like five floors. They have all kinds of activities, as well as daycare. I feel they aren't ripping people off because I have seen the difference in people's lives who go there, mine included. I love the parking. It's easy to get into and out, and I don't have to wait for parking. It's huge. more

Great church 11/9/2005

Calvary Church is located in Balantyne, a suburb of Charlotte, NC. The church is huge, with a total of five floors, and the grounds are beautiful. It is located on hwy. 51 for easy access from most places in Charlotte. Pastor Glenn Wagner used to be the pastor when I attended church there & he was amazing! I miss his services, but Calvary always makes sure that their pastors are bible based. They have an interim pastor, Dr. Stephen Corts, who is also quite excellent. PROS: bible based, beautiful church, great location CONS: more
