Just don't go. 9/5/2011

Terrible terrible place to take your car. DO NOT GO THERE. I had some work done there once and they put all different sized lugnuts onto the car. If i would have gotten a flat tire I wouldn't have been able to put the donut on because the lugnuts are all different sizes. I showed them and asked them to put my new ones on and they tried charging me $50. They talked to me like I was an idiot and didnt know dick about cars. They make their prices out of thin air, literally. I was inside and a worked asked another how much a repair is, they litereally went ""uhhhh about 250"". If you value your money and peace of mind please do not ever go to this repair shop it is terrible. They don't even have electronic records they have to do everything with paper and files. JUST DON'T GO. more

Horrible Customer Service, and Work Service 6/3/2009

Took my rig in for a simple muffler replacement, and turned into a frustrating mess. Drove home after replacement, exhaust had a leak, told the shop that (they were very skeptical on the phone and at the shop), looked at it and it did in fact have a leak, which they claimed to repair (oh, and I waited an hour and a half to find this out), brought it back a second time because it was leaking again, and they were skeptical again, and they came back that the muffler was defective (this time they told me 30 minutes or less to get it looked at, had to wait an HOUR for them to even look at it, then 30 minutes more to fix). After the second muffler replacement, I specifically asked them to double check nothing leaked, and shocker I drive it home and it's leaking again!! These guys could care LESS if they take care of you, I paid $150 for what? Not to get my car fixed, or any concerns addressed. Talked to shop manager, he didn't care, and refuses to offer any help. If you value your time and money, you'll find another shop!!! Cons: Huge wait times and Shotty work more

Highly recommended for Brake repairs in Auburn Hills,MI area 1/24/2009

My brakes had started grinding and squeaking a bit so I took it for an estimate at Belle Tire. I then called Discount Tire to compare and they referred me to Callahan's. They were $40 less. They were very friendly, quick and thorough. They even rotated my tires at no charge. I will definitely go back if I need any other repairs. There were several other people there getting work done and in conversation I found that they were repeat customers and had been going there for years. Don't expect a fancy place, it is simple and the decor is a little on the old side but who cares your not going to be waiting too long, more

Hard to find service like this anymore 5/1/2008

I just want to say thanks to Callahans Muffler & Brake for the speedy, hard work they put in on my car. \r \r It's nice to know you can go somewhere and get treated like a real person these days. \r \r I'll be coming back next time! more

Women, please read! This place is a gem. 5/1/2008

I don't need to tell anyone that a woman is often seen as an ""easy target"" by people who sell or repair cars. At Callahan's, this is never the case. This is a family business where every customer is treated fairly and dealt with honestly. The counter help is courteous and efficient and all of the repairs were explained to me patiently and thoroughly. I'm not sure where the one negative reviewer got the idea that this location is dirty, but I used the restroom and even that was cleaner than most restaurant bathrooms I've visited. The parking lot is well-lit and easy to navigate. This is the ONLY place I will take my vehicle, and I tell every woman (and man!) I meet to make Callahan's theirs. Another huge plus is that if you don't have tons of extra money to repair everything at once, they'll explain to you which jobs are most urgent and which can wait. Pros: Ample and well-lit parking; easy to find (located on a main road); honest and courteous staff; fair pricing; comfortable waiting area more
