Fun and cheap entertainment. 10/26/2005

I used to come here in elemantary school and it has been fun ever since. My little cousins have their birthday parties here, so we still get to relive the good ol' skating days. They need to have more tables though, as the seating area for non skaters is very crowded. The food line is always long, but the nachos are always good! Fun place to take kids. more

Cal Skate of Milpitas 8/8/2005

At Cal Skate, you can have old-fashioned roller skating fun. Whether it be inline skating or roller skating, they have it! Or you can just bring your own skates and save a couple of bucks. They have flashy lights and funky music while you skate around. There is also a a food place where you can buy some snacks and arcade games when you get bored. more

Roller skating is making a big comeback! Cal Skate is really packed on the weekends, usually because practically every rugrat under 12 has to have a birthday party here. It is rowdy, noisy, and busy, but that sometimes makes it all the more fun. People thought Cal Skate would have died out a long time ago during the inline skating/roller blading breakout, but it is keeping itself rooted right where it stands. There is something nostalgic about roller skating on four wheels around a wooden rink to the tunes of 1980's rockers. more
