Cakes Amor

They were very helpful when I ordered my cake about 2 weeks prior to my 50th Birthday, However they seem to have some serious communication problems because what we discussed the day I ordered it was nothing like what I picked up on the day of my party. It was a 50's Sock Hop theme and I wanted something colorful and fun. I took my invitation in to them and we discussed having a Topsy Tervy cake with buttercream icing in bite colors with the jukebox, records and other items that were on the invitation made from fondant at added to the cake. We also decided to have the bottom layer chocolate and the top layer white cake. I was soooo excited, Imagine my surprise when I picked up an all white standard stacked cake with a few records, a guitar and some music notes that had been piped on it. The worse part about it was when I spoke to the manager she could care less and just made excuses. I was so angry and my party was only few hours away so I took the cake. When we cut the cake it turned out they didn't even get that right. The only positive thing I can say is the cake was good, but then there are a lot of places you can get a good cake. If it is a special occasion - don't risk it! more

Good: Nothing not worth a rating. Bad: I asked for a butterfly cake in the actual shape of a butterfly with the colors of primarily red and pink with wings very colorful in other colors and glitter icing. What I got was a slightly shaped butterfly cake in all blue and yellow.. Other: When I called the shop after my daughter picked it up, Jessica was very snippy even though she apologized it wasn't very sincere. I can't believe these people are still in business and if they continue to run the business in this manner I'm sure they won't be for much longer.. more

Cakes Amore, Thank you so much for creating such beautiful and delicious cakes for our pastor's 20th anniversary celebration. Every bite was amazing, and many people enjoyed more than one piece! Thank you for all you did.... more

I want to say how pleased we were with the cakes made by Cakes Amore. The beautiful pink baptism cross was just lovely and my daughter's cake with the edible photo was perfect and tasted very good. We only had two large pieces of birthday cake left and we typically have cake for days. great job! Patricia more

I love this business - they are fast and very friendly. I was in charge of getting the wedding cake for my cousin's wedding reception. The associate was very plesant and made several suggestions on the cake decoration according to the theme we had going at the wedding reception. We ended up getting a 5-layer vanilla cake with so much design - I received many compliments on the beautiful artwork - I almost didn't want anyone to eat it bc it was such a work of art!? more

I live in Fort Worth, but the 4 or 5 times a year that I need a cake, I make the drive. I ALWAYS get tons of complements on the cakes I get here! It's kind of funny seeing the anticipation of friends and family when they know I'm getting a cake from Cakes Amore. I usually get orders from friends or coworkers when I do make the drive... I really don't know what is better, the awesome chocolate cake, or the chocolate mouse cake, or the red velvet??? The custom order pies and cheesecakes are to die for too! I'm almost glad I don't live closer, I would gain a lot of weight! For those that think their cakes are expensive, go to your local grocery store, save the money, and try to act like you enjoy it... :) more

My best friend had her wedding cake customed made here and it was delicious! It is such a cute store that smells positively divine! They sell cake decorating and candy supplies, as well as already made cakes. Their cheesecakes are simply divine as well, and you have to try their toffee chips. They also offer cooking classes, which I would like to try if I ever find the time. Great, easy to find location, more

AWESOME I am currently in Iraq and I get a call that the cake that I ordered for my daughter's birthday was not ready. I called Cakes Amore three hours before the party and these guys came through like a CHAMP. Everyone at the party loved the cake. Thanks guys. Thanks to Cakes Amore for coming though last minute. The bakery I had ordered a came from cancelled at the last minute. The lady at Cakes Amore was so helpful and was able to get me the cake I needed for my baby shower. Everyone commented on how delicious it was. Absolutely wonderful! I will never go anywhere else for a cake. They are truly artists at the decorations and the cakes taste wonderful. The staff is very helpful. They will help you design a great cake and will help you stay within your budget. I have ordered two custom birthday cakes for my little boy from them and have been so happy I actually squealed when I saw them!? more
