Don't waste your time and money! 6/19/2010

What a disappointment. I met there with 4 friends for lunch. We would've been better off going to McDonalds. Portions were tiny - appetizer size for an average $9+. My expectation of mom and pop cajun kitchen was very very different. My crafish dish tasted like it was made with canned bugs and hollandaise sauce. I don't even know why I paid for that meal. Don't waste your time or money - unless youre stopping by for an ice tea. Pros: Its next to Arts, so you can check out some cool grills. Cons: Price, portion size, flavor more

Overpriced and bland 4/26/2010

I was hoping for some very flavorful food when I went to a place called the Cajun Kitchen. I ordered the jambalaya, made with sausage and chicken, it sounded great, with red beans and rice as the side. What I got looked ok, but tasted very bland and pretty dry. The jambalaya tasted about the same as the red beans and rice. What? It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either, and nothing like good cajun food I've had elsewhere. $9 seemed pretty high for a small lunch portion also. All and all, sad to say, I won't be back, I was hoping for so much more. Pros: Looked decent, good service Cons: Overpriced, bland taste for cajun more
