Bugs (crawfish, the yummy kind) and Beer 7/28/2011

Where else can you get bugs (crawfish) in Pinellas Park? This place has great Cajun food, and one of the best craft beer lists in Saint Petersburg. They also fly in their sausages from Louisiana, and they are tremendous. Plus its located on a beautiful part of Joe's creek, giving it a very authentic cajun vibe. Crawfish, sausages, and Abita beer in my back yard keeps me happy when I'm not in NOLA. more

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! 5/7/2011

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME IS THE CAJUN CAFE ON THE BAYOU ON PARK BLVD! Went there tonight with friends...Server was so rude! I ordered the Jambalaya and it was AWFUL! Server didnt even apologize or take it off the bill! When we asked for the manager the owners came out and said ""we don't care if you didnt't like it you are going to pay for it..and continued to argue with us and belittle us..saving we dont need people like you we dont care if we lose customers...NEVER in my life had an owner tell me this...The male owner then proceded to run around the corner and get in my boyfriends face! WHAT! There was us which was a party of 6 and a party of 13 bebind us agreeing with us 100%...They then called the COPS on us! WTF! Told the cop we were refusing to pay our bill! WE NEVER SAID THAT! The owners were completely unprofessional and extremely rude...Said we didnt know what real cajun food was if I didn't like their Jambalaya...EXCUSE ME I was born and raised on Cajun food...half my family is Cajun! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER GO THERE... more

My favorite cajun place 5/10/2010

OK, here's the deal... start out by ordering 5 pounds of crawfish for every 2 or 3 people at the table, then have the crawfish cornbread and a cup of gumbo, after consuming all the crawfish, have some fried softshell crab, or a roast beef po-boy. but whatever you do or how full you get... you must have the bread pudding with the whisky sauce, slurp. I love this place and I havent had anything bad yet, on 3 visits. EXCELLENT CAJUN FOOD. Pros: The soft shell crab is awesome Cons: plastic cups more

Priced right for me!! 2/7/2009

I am not sure if this last guy went in this Cafe, but ever since I have been going there (11 years) they have had Crawfish Boudin or Pork Boudin and even Boudin Bals. But why would a Restaurant sell Pork Cracklin? All the food is served with the right portion, chain Restaurants is the place for piles of fried mush!! I eat here at least 10 times a year, and apart from a wait, when they are busy, never really had a ny problems!! Perhaps there was a page missing from the menu? Pros: Great Boudin!! Cons: No pork cracklin!! more

This one is tuff for me to rate. Food was good but NO Cajun Crackin or Boudin! All come on now. 1/4/2009

We live close and always pass this place. Decide to stop in after I saw an episode on Dirty Jobs were Mike Rowe was making Cajun Crackin from pork skin and Boudin made like sausage. Made me hungry and wanted to try it. You would expect a Cajun restaurant to serve this right? Wrong! Not this place. I couldn't believe it. Their excuse was it is too much trouble to make it. Baloney! What kind of a Cajun Restaurant is this that doesn't serve cracklin and boudin? Since we were there we ordered crab cake patties and shrimp. The wife's shrimp tasted too fishy for her and my crab cakes were very good but the portion was small. Food was very pricy for the place with small portions. Great atmosphere but don't think will be back. I'm still looking for cracklin & boudin. Chow. Pros: A great place to go just once to see Cons: Don't serve Cracklin and Boudin more

Neat Cafe 7/26/2008

I was in this Cafe in May, the service was good, it was very busy. The food tasted very authentic, and the ambiance awesome!! My friend loved the different beers, and even tried the 5 tasters. I have not ran into many places like this on my travels, so I will definately be back, keep up the good work. Pros: Great food and ambience Cons: Difficult to find more

Finally, good Cajun Style food 2/28/2008

Been past many a time, and finally went in. What a suprise, clean, nice servers, and great food. I, will definately be back!! The Catfish was great!! Pros: Great atmosphere more

this place has AWFUL FOOD! 12/13/2007

I dont know if i just WENT ON Cons: tacky, serve bad fish, less than accomodating service more

Best LA food out of LA 12/11/2007

Cajun Cafe is a must whenever we're in Tampa Bay. Been there many times and always had a great time. Food is excellent, staff curteous and overall a good Cajun Restaurant. Pros: Great food and staff Cons: Can be busy weekends more

Nothing else like it 12/4/2007

If you like Cajun Food or Good Beer, Cajun Cafe is the best place for you. The dock is on the water, and when the sun is not too hot, it's perfest out there. Real home, cooked Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, Gator Sauce Piquant, there are even Gator Burgers, which are full of flavor. Nearly all the Draft Beers (15) are from the US. They must have another 50 or more in bottles. Like I said, there's nothing like it!! more

Don't Bother!! 11/18/2007

DONT BOTHER! Pros: location, waterfront atmosphere Cons: new ownership ruined a good thing more

awful custumer service 10/13/2007

Great home cooked food 7/4/2007

This was the best Restaurant we visied on our vacation to Indian Rocks Beach. The servers were very polite, the food fantastic, and they have some of the best beers I could find in the area. Will definately be back, and bring more friends. you guys are doing a great job. Thank you. Pros: Real food not frozen Cons: Hard to find more

Best Jambalaya Around! 5/23/2007

A group from the office goes there for lunch once and a while. I love the atmosphere out on the deck overlooking the bayou. I always order the jambalya and crawfish cornbread but the rest of the menu looks really good to. Pros: Epitome of Florida Casual Dining more

Great service, great food & fantastic beer 12/24/2006

This is one of those places that not only has authentic home cooked style food, but has a great beer selection too. The place seems very clean, although from the road it looks like a fishing camp!! The servers were very good and they seemed to know a little bit about the good beers they sell. I liked the fact that not all the dishes are spicey, but if that's what you want, that's what you can get. Had most things I associate with Cajun, but no Muffalettas. Still I saw the Poboys going out, and they looked great. The deck is next to a real Bayou, and there's a nice dancehall out the back, with a fantastic view. All in all a very good place to eat, we will be back. Pros: If you like Mom & Pop restaurants, this is a good one. Cons: If you have a new car, slow down going accross the parking lot. more

Etoufee, Piquant and Creole. Hot food with fantastic service. 7/21/2006

I have eaten here many times and for the last 6 years at least, they have sold Pork or Crawfish Boudin. So I'm guessing you didn't really go there, or you didn't read the menu properly. Why would a Restaurant sell Pork Cracklin? Pros: Great Boudin!! Cons: Obviously a bit dark to read the menu? more
