Perfect Place for A Romantic Couple 5/27/2013

I love this place. Before 2 week ago me and my girl friend went there for a dinner. It was a awesome experience we both ever had. Lovely foods, Romantic environment make our relation more strong.The staffs and waiters are so good in terms of service. more

I want to clarify the state of Italian food in south Florida. There is only one true Italian restaurant with a familial welcoming and polished presentation of food. There is no other true Italian restaurant other than Cafe Vico. The owner Marco has time and time again proven to us their cuisine far supersedes all others. Gratzi Marco! What happened ? Prices went up and quality went down. For these prices you are much better off at Casa DAngelo or Valentinos. Twenty two bucks for spaghetti with pesto ? Gimme a break. more

I have to admit, I am pretty shocked with all the great reviews for this restaurant. My employer has taken our whole company there three times in the past two years, and so far every time my experience has been the same. The food is completely average! Some of the dishes are under seasoned, and noodles get overcooked. The tiramisu is probably one of the worst I have had. I think you get a good feel for the ambiance based on the other reviews. My experience could be tainted by the fact that I always go with a large party, but the bottom line is that every time I go I am thankful I do not have to pay for the subpar food. more

I visit this restaurant often and always have a wonderful experience. From the ambiance to the staff to the chocolate desserts... everything is fabulous. Don't miss the garlic dipping oil served with yummy bread to start the meal! more

Great food and perfect spot for get togethers. Real Italian, Marco vico the owner makes you feel like your in his home. Just like Italy! Osso bucco is the best ! more

Went to this restaurant at a coworker's insistence and I MUST say it was delicious and the service was great. The menu is a lot different than most italian restaurants with options I had never tried before so I am extremely excited about going back to try them. \r \r When we got there it was super crowded and we waited at the bar. They sat us in their second dining area that was more quiet then the main one and more personal. The manager personally sat us and I could tell it was family run and never felt like we were being neglected. more

My new favorite place for a reliably great, high-end meal. WHY have I never been there before? Don't make my mistake and miss this quiet gem. Want a nice meal out? Go Vico!\r UPDATE: on a recent visit, two friends tried CV's famous lasagne. One word: RICH! (And delicious...OK, that's 2, or maybe 3, depending on how you count.) I tried a veal special: a chop pounded then rolled around prosciutto, cheese, and spinach: yum! An appetizer special was superb: mozzarella (a special type -- didn't get the name) served with roasted tomatoes and prosciutto crisps: a nice twist on a Caprese salad. more

This place is a Fort Lauderdale jewel hidden in plain sight. The times I have been here the food and service have been excellent. Latest visit, even though the place was packed, they quickly found us a table for 5. The four cheese gnocci is to die for! The wines by the glass are great big pours! The bread and pretty much anything you order always taste fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff is young, eager, quick and friendly. The environment is cozy and romantic. Love this place! Highly recommend it!!! more
