ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO DINE AND DANCE.. 3/29/2007

My visit to Cafe Sevilla Long Beach was more than I could ask for, from the moment we arrived the attention and service provided was excellent.. The food was excellent and rapidly served. After dinner we decided to visit their nightclub wich was beautiful not what I expected while in Long Beach. It was very surprising to see something so Hollywood / Miami like type of atmosphere, the music was great throught the night, very beautiful.. It was a great experience and I will defenetely come back and make this my usual hang out on the weekends... TRY IT!!!!!!!!! Pros: Service,Entertainment. more

Great customer Service, great food, great shows and LOVE the SANGRIA! 3/28/2007

I visited Cafe Savilla this weekend. This has been the first time I have been back to Long Beach for a night on the town. I have avoided this area because many of my past experiances at clubs/resturants Alegria's, Mariposas and Coheba's to name a few.... have been horriable, unplesent overcrowded with an undesirable crowd . Cafe Savilla on the other hand was great! I made resvervations and had no problem getting in. I was greeted by the host a nice gentlemen at the door who seated me and my friends. He had a great sence of hummor and kept us laughing till we were seated. Great customer service. The host made me and my friends feel welcomed. The food was great and the Sangria is the best I have tasted yet! During our meal we even had a manager visit our table to see how we were doing and to check if we were getting good service from our waitress. That impressed me. From my experiance usually at resturants management is no where to be seen. I trully felt like I was wanted and welcomed, almost as if I was at a family members home. You have to try the Paella Valenciana! The best dish I have had! Lastly great shows and well worth the money! Pros: Food, Customer Service, Entertainment Cons: Parking more

Best of Both Worlds....Cafe Sevilla.... 3/27/2007

Can't explain what type of perfect concept this establishment has created. Service was great as always from the starting entrance by being greeted by a beautiful host and a handsome young hispanic man with spikey hair. They were both very welcoming and generous by assisting us to one of the seven comfortable red velvet booths which had a candle burning being held by an unique looking iron rod.Great looking atmosphere in the restaurant with two shining knights awaiting as you enter. The lighting was just right. Never too dark, never too bright. All my friends that I have recomended have always been impressed and amused. Music playing at a pretty good level as usual, but there live nightly music is insane. The food and service is always amazing. The sangria isn't too bad, the royal sangria is better. My party and I noticed, that everytime we visit Cafe Sevilla we get to experience ""best of both worlds"". By having a great tasting tapas and entrees for dinner, then changing the atmoshpere by going up stairs to this huge retro looking club with white leather looking booths along the wall, people dancing on the stage, girls dancing on top of the bar, as the Dj spins his finest tunes. Security present is everywhere to ensure our safety. DON'T BELIEVE THE NONSENSE from guests who try to portray security individuals to be the people they are ""NOT"" by labling them as being disrespectful and simply rude. Due to the facts that there's always""TWO"" sides to every story, sometimes even three or even four sides of a story, especially when guests who can't control there alcohol (always changes ways of thinking/behavior)feels free to believe they should not be responsible for there actions, therefore tends to place blame on anyone...including Sober Security guards. Been here for years, and have experienced ""major"" improvements/changes that will continue being the best interests for the city of long beach. Cafe Sevilla, continue providing great food, service and entertainment!!!! Pros: Great food, Unique comfortable atmosphere, Relaxing Music Cons: Trying to make reservations on a late Fri/Sat more

A Series of Unfortunate Events 3/27/2007

I was told that if my party size exceeded 10 for the restaurant, I would have to purchase in advance from a catered menu, a hefty deposit, and have only 2 hrs to eat & drink. Adriana Gonzalez. was not helpful and did not return any of my phone calls nor emails. When I called to complain directly with the rest, I was told that I had to deal with her and there was no other help that could have been provided. 3 days before my actual celebration, I was contacted by Jorge Serna who took care of my needs. When I made my selections I was told that there would be an add. $2.50 pp for one entre. I was told that the ""menu had been updated"" with other prices but was not given to me for my review. The actual service for my dinner party of 30 was poor. I had only 1 waiter for my party size for drinks. I purchased a bar service for 1 hour, yet it took him twenty min. to bring our drinks. We went upstairs only to be mistreated. The bouncer John was rude. My $250 table reservation was overly booked. I felt as if the security guards were overly bearing with my party size. I witnessed one security slug a woman when she walked by and he did not apologize. When we left the club, a fight broke out and my friend quickly escorted me down the stairs to provide my security. I would not trust my dog with this security team. I later found out the subsequent day that many of my guests witnessed many events that are not only appropriate but untolerable and quite frankly, illegal. Many of my party are white collar professionals, as myself, were completely coherent and sober, called me and expressed their observations with the way the security guards seemed to antagonize. The waitress did not return my credit card nor drivers license that evening and I didn't realize until the following morning. I later found out that some of my guests were hassled, searched repeatedly, and talked down to. Needless to say, my guests nor myself will not return to this establishment at any point in time. Pros: decor Cons: club bouncer, security team more

Best place in Town for dinner at 2 or group party 3/26/2007

I am not sure what the other reviews are all about. Makes you wonder if some competition is not afraid and willing to write anything to try to get ahead. I went to Sevilla in Lon Beach as a regular customer with some friends one evening to check the place out for potential large business dinner opportunity. We were treated so well we decided on the spot to book the place up for a large convention dinner party. We were seated right away, our waiter was very attentive, made great recommendations and we ended up staying the entire evening. Awesome food.........Still thinking about it. When came time to set up our business meeting, they were so accomodating. They even closed down the club upstairs just for us. You should have seen the set up.......Unbelievable. Our Clients still rave about it. Food, drinks, service............The best in town. I'd say to anyone.........If do not go to Sevilla you are missing out. To all the negatives writers out there, you may want to reconsider who you are working for, if this is how you think you can get peoples to come to your place............it won't last. The truth does always prevail. Take it form a very happy Sevilla Customer and now best Fan I guess. And to all the other Fans out there, let it be known how great a place it is. I have since visited the other 2 locations, in Riverside and San Diego....A consistant wining combination all over. Continue the great work and when is the next opening? Pros: Best food, drinks, service by friendly staff.Awesome atmosphere. Must go there! Cons: Can't find any. Maybe the negatives writers hire to sabotage a great place. more

Avoid nightclub 3/26/2007

The night club at Cafe Sevilla in Long Beach is dangerous! The security spoke rudely and was visibly rough to other patrons. The night I was there, a patron was sent to the E.R. after he was beaten up in the bathroom. His family said it was the security staff. I have never seen anything like that in a club before! I've been to the Cafe Sevilla in San Diego and loved it! But this one has a different feel and clientele. I would avoid the night club. Pros: sangria is great! Cons: adjacent nightclub a bit rough more

Our waitress was very helpful and always checking in to see how we were doing. The food was excellent the show was very entertaining we got free admission into the club for the night after the show was over. I will recommend this place to all of my friends.
