I'll eat here any day 4/4/2006

Cafe Rio is as popular today as it was when I first ate there five years ago, and I am not surprised. They're food is so good there is always a line to be served, but don't be deterred if it's almost out of the door. The line moves fast, and you almost always see someone you know there so you can pass the time talking to friends and watching the food preparation in the kitchen. My husband loves their burritos served encilada style, and I always get their grilled chicken salad with the tomatillo dressing. The servings are huge, so if you're in a dessert mood, remember to make room for their chocolate flan dessert served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It is absolutely to die for! If you're really hungry and don't want to face the lines, call in your order 20 minutes before you get there, and they'll get it ready for you to pick up at the takew out register. Don't forget to get a frequent diner card either, as every 11th meal is free. You'll get there so much faster than you think! more

Can't get much better. 4/4/2006

This place is always packed with people because it is so good. The half hour to hour wait is soooo worth it. They have the best burritos and salads anywhere. It is so simple, but it is so good too. They give you a ton of food also. more

There's always a line to get into heaven 3/26/2006

You can't go wrong with Cafe Rio, especially their tres leche cake, salad with either the cilantro lime vinaigrette or creamy tomatillo dressing, and their burritos served enchilada style. While the line is usually long, it moves very quickly, and you can watch the staff cook fresh tortillas while you wait. Not only that, but the menu items are all so delicious, it often takes a while to make your final decision. However, if you can't decide on just one meal, don't worry. The taste and the price will have you back again and again. more

Best food/price you'll find 9/4/2005

For tons of really good food for a really reasonable price, Cafe Rio is great. Their salads and burritos are especially popular with good reason. The lines are pretty long at lunch and dinner so give yourself a bit of time to wait. Also, if you aren't a big eater you may want to share with a friend as their portions are huge! All in all, good pices, quick service, and a lively atmosphere make Cafe Rio great! more

Best mexican food and fast! 9/1/2005

I try to go early because this place always seems to be busy. They have the best Mexican food! Assembly line type of restaurant where you watch them make your food right in front of you. The ingredients are always fresh and the kitchen is very clean. I have never had a bad meal there. Everyone else must feel the same because this place is busy! more

Long lines for good food 8/20/2005

Cafe Rio seemed to spring up overnight as a new phenomenon in Provo. As a result, there are always long lines (though it has gotten better recently). The food is really good, especially the salads. They have good burritos and everything is hot and fresh (including their tortillas). If you go, don't go right at main meal times to avoid the crowds. more

The Best Mexican Food in Town! 8/15/2005

This restaurant is by far the best Mexican food in town! Unique to this restaurant is its fast food atmosphere for gourmet quality food. The food is prepared fresh in front of you, and you seat yourself in a cantina of dazzling and bright colors. The salads are especially good and the smothered burritos are even better. There will definitely be leftovers by the size of the portions served here! more

Mexican I could eat any night of the week. 8/10/2005

Cafe Rio has the best Mexican food in Utah, hands down. They're so fresh and everything is ready to go within minutes. When you walk in, you'll be faced with a huge line. Don't turn away, the line moves quickly. They also have a frequent diner's card where your 7th meal is free. more
