Cafe Rio 4/10/2006

Cafe Rio is a great (not super authentic) Mexican restaurant chain. It is pretty good food, especially if you like Americanized Mexican food. I really like their enchilada-style burrito. The food is great, but the lines are horrendous. If you want to go to Cafe Rio, you need to plan an extra 45 minutes to stand in line. If you don't mind eating at home, then the secret is to call in a pick up order. However, part of the charm of this place is the ambiance. Unless you are starving, then the line is worth it! more

Cafe Rio is seriously my favorite place! My husband and I would go here at least once a week, and it was always a struggle to decide what to order because EVERYTHING is sooo good! The shredded chicken burrito or shredded beef burrito, enchilada style of course, are both yummy! My husband was a fan of the fire-grilled chicken burrito. I also loved their shredded beef salad with the creamy tomatillo dressing! You get a free kid's quesadilla with the purchase of an entree and there is a frequent diner card where you get a free meal and drink after you purchase 10 meals. Be prepared for long lines, but it is soo worth the wait! You can also call ahead and pick up your order. more
