Mozart Even Inspired a Cafe! 6/16/2006

There is so much competition for your coffee dollars in this area.I think Evanston residents love their coffee almost as much as Seattle folks do. Here's another place for you to duck in and grab a comfy chair, some hot tea or coffee and a newspaper or some reading material and relax. There are a small selection of seats both inside or outside at their patio. One of the better cafes in Evanston. Maybe after you got you caffeine buzz going you'll want to walk around the area and check out some of the swanky shops nearby.Yes, they do play Mozart and other classical selections here to help you relax a bit. more

Hot Java 5/5/2006

I guess the reason they call it Cafe Mozart is that they are trying to create an atmosphere of serenity. The time I was there they were playing classical music and it was mellow. They don't sell that many pastrys or snacks, mostly a coffee or tea kinda place. They have a charming little outdoor patio and the inside is quaint as well. It's a great location for them, I guess you can never have too many good coffee houses in Evanston, Chicago or Seattle. more

Not the best, but still cool 3/17/2006

Well, I don't remember if Mozart was playing in the background or not, but whatever it was sounded all la dee dah! The place is tiny but cute, and the best part is this plush and comfy sofa (everyone runs to sit on this one, so good luck!). The coffee and teas were pretty good, but some of the sweet treats were just okay. The staff could have also used a dose of charm and/or personality lessons! Not the warmest bunch of folks around, that's for sure. more
