Bland 1/6/2009

I'd heard good things about the lunch buffet, but dinner was disappointing. We had the Navratan Korma & a Paneer Tikka dish. Unfortunately, the food was so bland it tasted like NO spice, even though we'd asked for hot & medium-hot. It was bland in taste as well as spice level. The Paneer Tikka was better than the Korma. The samosas were OK, but overfried to the point of being very dark and crunchy. Aloo Naan was alright, but again, pretty bland. Pros: Good # of vegetarian options; fairly fast service Cons: Food: very bland. Music: same song looped over and over and over and ... more

If there's better Indian food in the Seattle area, I have yet to find it! 12/21/2008

Mmm! I LOVE Cafe India. Pros: Great music, friendly sevice, fantastic food, open no matter the weather! more

I love this place! 6/27/2008

As far as having a great selection, this place has it. I have eaten with as many as 8 other folks - and we all love this place! The price is a steal, and the food is worth the drive, which says a lot when gas is over $4.35 a gallon. The service has always been good - my family & friends have eaten here more than 10 times. The hardest part is getting someone on the phone (they are now in my cellphone)... On the way home from Canada, I had the thought of stopping for an early dinner on a Sunday - they just closed after lunch and it was over an hour wait for dinner (I didn't call ahead). Pros: The FOOD, the PRICE Cons: wish I lived closer! more

Good Buffet, Great Price 6/30/2006

At $6.95 per person, you can't go wrong with this buffet. I'm Indian and have quite a discriminating palate when it comes to Indian cuisine. The buffet here ranges from excellent to good depending on who is cooking. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is good. It's the best Indian restaurant north of Seattle. more

Great Food, Great Price, Kid Freindly 1/29/2006

The buffet is only $6.95 and the food is great. Ever been to an indian food restaurant and feel like your at the library. who wants to eat and feel uncomfortable, well this isnt the place. the atmosphere is talkative and freindly. Kids are always welcome and the staff accomodates well. the food in this restaurant is excellent for buffett style and i feel one of the better buffets in the seattle area. I highly reccomend you visit this establishment and see for yourself. Pros: parking, value, atmosphere Cons: traffic more

Don't Waste Your Time 12/31/2005

Cafe India has a big sign on their window that brags about having a 22 item lunch. It's nothing to brag about when 1/5 of those items include sauces and salad dressings. The buffet cost $8.95 per person which is about what you can expect to pay for most indian buffets. I can tell you for that same price, I've been to waaaay better! Most of the items fall well below the acceptance scale in authtenicity and flavor. Of the 22 items, 2 were meat/chicken dishes. I was not impressed. The service was atrocious. We were seated without napkins and when I asked for one, the busgirl became obnoxious and made a POINT of not bringing it. Poor customer service, and poor quality food are not what I look for when dining out. I give Cafe India, a big thumbs down. Cons: Poor Service, Low Quality Food more
