My wife and I heard that Cafe Enrico had a new Chef and that the food has changed for the better. We haven't been there in about a year so we decided give it a try... So we went to Cafe Enrico. WOW! We were met at the door by this beautiful hostess with a lovely smile, who introduced her self as Noelle, as she escorted us to our table by the water. Shortly there after the new Chef appeared at our table and introduced his self as Chef Allen and began to tell us about the new menu and offered us free samples of his Napa Valley Smoked Salmon. I am a die hard smoked salmon lover and thought I was very knowledgeable about the finer smoked salmons of the world. He stated that his smoked salmon was one of the finest in the world. Ha! Ha! I have heard this several times from various restaurants in an attempt to sell their smoked salmon. So, I wasn't impressed with the chef's pitch. Although he was very good and also very informative about salmons. After he left the table, I told my wife, ""Typical sales pitch"", as I reached for the samples. My wife and I tasted the sample and, OH MY GOD, Chef Allen was right. This is world class smoked salmon. It was the best I has ever tasted. My wife and I both ordered the salmon and it was so wonderful. I asked the waiter if we could speak to Chef Allen. He came out of the kitchen and we thanked him for the samples and told him how much we enjoyed his salmon. We will be back very soon to try his baby back ribs that we overheard the next table raving about. It's about time that we have a ""Real Chef"" on the Island. Welcome to Bay Farm Island Chef Allen.
Pros: Awesome new menu and new executive chef. Chef Allen's greate food and personality.
