Worst Dining Experience of My Life! Our party of 5 people arrive at 7PM and are seated at a table designed for 4; no problem, we were fine with squeezing in. It takes 20 minutes for our table to get glasses of water for the table, and another 10-20 minutes before our waitress even comes to take our orders; not great, but okay, we were told that it was a particularly busy night. One hour and forty minutes after we were seated, our two appetizers come out, and one of them was not what we ordered; even now, we're okay, we understand that mistakes happen and that its a busy night, although we hadn't seen our waitress in the hour or so between the time she took our orders and delivered the appetizers. The appetizers were so-so at best, and definitely not worth the wait. Meanwhile, we see that a table that was seated at least 30 minutes after us is receiving their appetizers just before us; at this point, we are getting annoyed. We find a different waiter, as ours is not to be found, and inform him of our long wait and growing impatience; he goes to the kitchen to inquire about our meals, comes back 5-7 minutes later and tells us that our food was almost ready, and would be coming out any moment. Meanwhile, the same table that was seated 30 minutes after us, a party of four, has received their entrees and are eating. Five minutes later (2 hours after we were seated) 3 of our 5 entrees come out, and our waitress informed us that the kitchen had run out of the main ingredient for the other 2 entrees, but the kitchen would be happy to make something else off the menu...and at this point, we had lost all patience and informed a different waiter (again, as ours could not be found) that we were very dissatisfied. The waiter offers to have the owner come speak to us, which we accept gladly. 5 minutes later, the owner comes up, and as I begin to explain our experience, (politely, and with a moderate tone of voice) he cuts me off, and begins offering all sorts of excuses: 1) its a busy night (ok, but how long should one expect to wait for service and food? I believe 2 hours to receive entrees is more than a reasonable accommodation); 2) its a new menu, and there is only one cook tonight (again, I understand that there are growing pains with a new menu, but should that be the customer's burden?); 3) he is barely breaking even on the night, because he had to purchase the new items, and price it low enough to be sold to college students (which is definitely not our problem). After hearing him lecture us for 2 or 3 minutes, we politely requested that he give us our bill for the appetizers and drinks we had consumed, and informed him that we wished to pay for those items and leave. At which point he threatened to call the police, and we agreed that he should indeed do so. He then said that he wasn't going to call the police, and so we again requested our bill for the items that we had consumed. He said that he would bring the bill, but that we were to ""Never set foot here again"", to which we gladly agreed. A few minutes pass and he returns, with another entree for our table and tells us, ""You can take this food home with you, and I'll give you a 20% discount, but that's it"", we again told him that we did not want the entrees, and that we intended to pay for the items we had consumed and no more. He then pointed his finger at us and told us that he was going to bring our bill, but that we ""better tip that girl [the waitress]"". 5 minutes later he comes to our table with our bills, with a 20% gratuity already added in. Instead of arguing over his forced gratuity, we paid and left. 2 hours and 40 minutes of pure dining hell, and we left hungry. I will tell everyone I know to never patronize this restaurant.
