This place is horrible! They use frozen food. They microwave it. And it still takes forever on a slow night. Never eat this crap. There are so many good restaurants in this cit...

I live around the corner from Cafe Con Leche, and I go there more often than I'd like to admit. Their food is consistently delicious! I love their cafe con leches (obviously), the quesadilla, the veggie burger, the breakfast burrito, the pancakes... literally everything I've tried! The staff and service is impeccable. And they make some mean drinks too! more

This joint is a turd. Overpriced, undercared. I just made up that word for this experience, specifically. Despite the .5 mi distance from me, my delivery order took a full 1 hour and 45 minutes from order placed to food delivery. Driver claims he was lost. For 45 minutes. And didn't call. Bistec and eggs came with 2 eggs instead of 3, steak is plentiful but dry and tough. Everything is soggy. Way harsh because I'm way angry. And disappoint. more

Cafe Con Leche never dissapoints. They offer a huge menu and almost every item is amazing. I love the ropa vieja and their tortas are out of this world. Fresh ingredients, traditional cooking and large portions make this one of my favoriote places in the Chi. more

Quality Cuban breakfast 2/17/2008

This place is tiny -- only six or seven tables -- but they serve some really excellent Spanish/Cuban breakfast plates. I ordered the Chilaquiles and my girlfriend ordered the Hobo Skillet. My chilaquiles had a TON of tortilla chips and not enough egg, but the flavors were so terrific I could forgive the lopsided ratio. Service was no-frills and friendly. It was our first visit to this neighborhood place, but we'll definitely come back for a cafe con leche, a Cuban sandwich, or a breakfast in the near future.
