That's the same experience I had! I have also had a ton of massages and been to lots of spas. And this by far was the worst place and worst massage ever. No mood lighting, music, blankets on the massage table - nothing. Just a clinic like room. All he did was push down on the skin and only be covered by a bed sheet. He also went way up my leg and to my rear. Instead, I booked with the Cactus salon in Smithtown - which was EXCELLENT. They are professional and very classy with the spa feel. more

I did not have a good experience here with a massage therapist. He was recommended by the staff and was the WORST massage I have ever had ( I get massages frequently and many different places). All the therapist was doing was pushing hard on my skin and pulling up or down. NOT a massage. On top of that the room downstairs felt like a medical facility, a doctors office room. I did see some nicer rooms upstairs I am not sure why that wasn't used for my massage. On top of it all I felt that the massage therapist focused a little too much attention on my rear end. It was quite uncomfortable as was I, one point I was ready to get up and leave but I bared through it hoping it would get better. more

A friend gave me a Gift Certificate for a Full Day of Beauty which could be used at any Cactus Salon on Long Island. While my first few phone calls led to frustration because the first few salons I called could not get everything done in one day, I then called the Cactus Commack and my troubles were over. I was greeted by several smiling faces, (at work! how odd). I was escorted to the Spa area and treated to a wonderful hour long massage, followed by a hour long facial, a manicure, pedicure, make up application and education, then a shampoo and hair style. WOW! My day was relaxing, fun, peaceful, and best of all I felt like the employees wanted to be there. They could not do enough for me. Thank you for such a great day. I shall return !!!
