Cabinets to Go, the name is further from the truth.
In the beginning of October I went to the Elgin store to look at the product after seeing them on HGTV. Good, I thought. Sturdy, nice, decent price for the quality.
Three weeks later I picked up the 24 boxes and assembled the cabinets. To my surprise, three doors were damaged. I contacted Jason at the Elgin store and he had me send him photos. I picked up new doors about a week later. Kind of a hassle driving back up to Elgin, but I was anxious to get the cabinets completely assembled.
Late November the kitchen was completed. A few weeks later a crack appeared in a door. Once again, I contacted Jason, sent a photo, and waited to have a new door shipped to me. Big Mistake!!!
The door arrived three weeks later simply wrapped in bubble wrap!!! Really? I was agitated to say the lease. So to no surprise, when I opened the bubble wrap, the door was damaged.
Who in their right mind ships a product in only bubble wrap!!!!
Contacted Jason AGAIN, and he said it was wrapped in a box, and that Fedex must have taken it out of the box.
BS! Why would Fedex do that.
So now three weeks have gone by and I am finally told that I will get a new door in April.
6 MONTHS AFTER MY ORIGINAL PURCHASE!!!
So I contact Sylvia at Cabinets to Go Customer Satisfaction.
She is the last person I would want handling my customers. Her tact is non existent. Her only answer was that it is ""the company policy"" to send items via warranty and I would have to wait till April.
I suggested that the best remedy would be to for them to absorb the cost of a whole new cabinet, and just ship me the door. She insisted that would not happen even though Jason or Bill at the Elgin store shipped a door...WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP, AND ONLY BUBBLE WRAP.
I am still waiting on a new door...
