Best

Had the lunch combo here today. A bowl of piping hot traditional beef pho with meatballs and a fresh lamb springroll. Delicious and yet nutritious all for under $10 bucks. Hello C...

I love it! 5/20/2012

I have eaten dinner here twice in the past month, driving all the way from West Cobb to Dunwoody. I love it. Last night, we ordered the Banh Hoi entree--the flat rice noodles with fish to wrap in rice paper. It was delicious. Our waiter was Richard C, a young kid with braces who was very nice and attentive. All of the wait staff seem very friendly. I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because after getting the bill, I did notice they charge $2 more for rice paper to wrap the fish and noodles, which is pretty ridiculous. I thought the meal was supposed to be wrapped. The atmosphere on a Saturday night is perfect for a date. They dim the lights about 8pm and had music playing which makes it really nice. I know I will be back! more

Great Food 9/20/2010

I went here for the first time last week and ordered one of the lunch specials. The sandwich and soup combo, the pork had an awesome flavor and the soup was just right. We are going back again today to try the vermicelli and I will let you know what I think. The staff were all friendly, courteous and on the ball. The restaurant is super clean (hate dirty restaurants) and had a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has never tried Vietnamese to go here; you will be pleasantly surprised. more

Awesome food freindly service. 7/31/2010

I have eaten at the sister restaurant on buford hwy.(also great). The food is very bright and authentic. I had the spring rolls of salmon also lamb both were very fresh and amazing with the nuc mong dipping sauce. Vietnamese food is often overlooked, i think it may be one of the best styles of cuisine because of all the multiple influences of the French who occupied this country and the chinese influence as well. The service was super freindly, the french manager is a super cool dude. I love the carpacio and the bun tic nung. Please try this place.. Also a traditional french brunch on sundays from the former chef of the buckhead rits, enough said. Pros: A great fusion of French and Vietnamese Cons: None i can think of more

Yummy in my tummy! 3/19/2010

Had the lunch combo here today. A bowl of piping hot traditional beef pho with meatballs and a fresh lamb springroll. Delicious and yet nutritious all for under $10 bucks. Hello Com Dunwoody...meet your new friend! I'll be back! =P Pros: Quality food, fair prices, great staff Cons: No fullbar...yet! more

For a good time...run to Com Dunwoody...NOW. 1/24/2010

I had an amazing time here last night and had to share! My girls and I try a different hotspot every week and this week we decided on Com Dunwoody...I didn't expect much since it's a Vietnamese restaurant, typically not known for it's atmosphere, but this place was wonderful. We arrived around 8 and the place was packed, but we were seated after 10 minutes. In ordered the Shaking Beef which was excellant but next time i will try the Do it yourself plate since it seemed like alot of other people were having a blast 'making' their own food. The management were incredibly friendly and there were even people dancing! Fun times! The energy was great and I will definitely be back. Oh - and leave room for dessert. Best apple pie ever! Pros: Best music ambiance in Atlanta Cons: no liquor...yet. more

Disappointed 10/19/2009

We were very disappointed by our experience at Com Dunwoody. The food was bland and over priced. My husband ordered a catfish soup that was very mediocre at best. It was served with steamed rice that was literally green in color. It appeared to be dyed with food coloring. The vegetables served with his dish were limp and dead looking. I was not impressed with the asparagus crab soup either. It was bland and forgettable. We left there hungry and unsatisfied. We definitely will not be going back to Com Dunwoody. Pros: Friendly staff and nice ambiance Cons: Over priced and poor food quality more

Litle Gem 10/12/2009

Already on my favorite restaurant list. Try out their yummy Sangria to start or the Cucumber Martini, you won't be desapointed.Sample few Grape Leaves ( the duck is my favorite) and some beef sate. For my Entree i usually go for the Lettuce wrapp or the caramelized salmon. But im looking forward to try the rest of the menu. Cute place with friendly and pro staff. Original music selection and warm ambiance. Thanks guys. Pros: Excellent food, service and ambiance Cons: closed on sunday more

Wow! Best Vietnamese in the area! 9/5/2009

I heard about this place through a coworker and decided to check it out with my girlfriends after shopping at Perimeter Mall...I was so surprised by this charming Vietnamese restaurant with a bit of a french flair. We weren't too hungry, wanted to have just some drinks and appetizers but upon entering the heavenly aroma stirred our appetites! We started with some sangria..i think perhaps the best I've ever had! We finished with a light and crispy creme brulee! The owner, a charming french guy, even came and joined our table for a drink...After last night, I will definitely be a regular. Can't recommend this enough! Pros: Authentic vietnamese cuisine, friendly staff! Cons: no brunch, closed Sunday more

Fantastic meal 4/17/2009

Our party decided to stop by at the last minute after hearing about the restaurant in local magazines and being in the area. Our experience was much more than we had expected. The waiter will explain that they are known for their sauces which are made in-house. I didn't realize why that was so impressive until the dishes came out. The mango salad, roll your own spring rolls, and the rice and meat dish was all amazing. Try the lamb. It really is impressive. Pros: Flavorful food, more than fair prices, excellent service Cons: A bit of a drive from the city but well worth it more

com dunwoody is my favorite place to take my fammilies and friends togo to,the food is so yummy and the service was fantastic!!!! i looking forward to comming back!!!!! Pros: best vietnamesse foods Cons: it's a nice atmosphere more

the best Vietnamese food in Atlanta 3/17/2009

I stumbled upon this little Vietnamese restaurant and what a surprise! I love Asian food, especially Vietnamese and I have to say Com Dunwoody is the best Vietnamese food I ever had. The service was terrific. I had the Caramelized Salmon and the fish was just perfect. I noticed a little French twist in the cuisine, which made the food standout and be noticeable. Pros: delicious food and great service Cons: Not open on Sundays yet (boohhh) more

Super food !Glamour decor! Excellent Service 3/11/2009

This is so far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta. Everything was so fresh, so good, so yummy.. The staff was very helpful and even show my date and i how to wrap my Banh Hoi... I had there famous house salad with shrimp and the Banh Hoi, my date had very fresh Spring roll ( i heard they made them minute) and the Indochine Caramelized salmon... Thanks guys for this excellent experience...i will be back with more friends... Pros: Food, Service ,Decor Cons: Still thinking about it.... more

Small portions 10/6/2008

I really hate to give this place a bad review because we loved grilled, healthy foods and especially places that aren't one of the big chains, but here I go. We never leave here with anything but a the feeling we just had appetizers instead of a meal. One of my girlfriends who barely eats had to order nachos when we went next door to the Dunwoody Tavern because she was starved. more

is not chinese food 11/27/2007

This restaurant do not serve chinese food, just vietnamese food. Their food is just so-so. I have better vietnamese food than this.... more

splendid combination of value and taste 6/19/2007

I was pleasantly surprised with this establishement. I recently went with my family, so we were able to try lots of different dishes. The appetizers are very yummy!! The duck grape leaves and the short ribs were my favorite. I had the flat rice vermeccille for dinner - EXCELLENT!! I loved it and everyone said it was the best entree. The desserts were ok - nothing too exciting. They have a lot of stuff on the menu, so I will def. be back. Pros: tasty, good portions, good service Cons: so-so ambiance more

great night at Com Dunwoody!!! 6/18/2007

My parents and I have a tradition of trying Asian restaurant everywhere we go and we total loved this one. The service was friend and courteous. The food is excellent and tasty and the price is good. You must try their salads and la lots! You won't be disappointed. more

Just OK 12/30/2006

we went to this restaurant on Dec 23,2006 due to the high recommendation. It was quite a disappointment to say the least. The place was not easy to find even with the mapquest. We were seated promptly and the waiter brought the orders promptly. The food was too sweet -- including the meat dishes. I have eaten at many a Vietnamese restaurants across the country. This is the first restaurant to serve food so sweet. Our check was left on the table before we had time to finish our food. They had to take it back as we wanted to try their dessert. Pros: Prompt seating, quick service Cons: So so food. more

Taste really good! 12/17/2006

Finally! A restaurant that has brought a great concept to Dunwoody. The best part about the place is the expansive menu selection. I'd recommend the Shaking Beef. And hands down, the best Asian restaurant in Dunwooody! A must try for the holidays, especially with friends and family...enjoy! more

Good food, great service, but small portions 11/30/2006

I went here with a co-worker who knows the owner, who is the nicest guy. The service was great and the food was delicious, but the portions were kind of small. Every item that we tried was amazing, and the chocolate/mousse dessert was awesome. We also had their sandwiches for a business lunch, and they aren't your normal vietnamese sandwiches off Buford Hwy. The sandwiches are kind of too pretty. They are on only one side of the bread, with the meat and stuff on top, (without the other side of bread bread on top). So, it makes the sandwich kind of hard to eat normally. It's a nice atmosphere, but I prefer more for my money. If you're looking for a good vietnamese restaurant, I recommend Saigon Cafe, on Pleasant Hill. Pros: Service, Taste of food, Presentation of food Cons: Portions more

Very unique and tasty 10/22/2006

We found them on City Search and decided to try them out because of their high rating. The high rating is certainly well deserved. The food was very good. We asked the waitress to recommend what's good on the menu. We followed her advise, and they were right on. Of the four dishes we tried, I would recommend the curry chicken and the flat noodles with beef. To top it off the staff was friendly and service was very good. The price is reasonable as well. Pros: Food was good. Staff was friendly. Fast service Cons: It's not a fancy restaurant, that's why the price is so reasonable more
