I have had N.R.G. Air to my home twice now. The first time was a rough one. Get home from work at 10 pm to a house with out heat in sub freezing weather. Remembered this company from one of there adds, but called around anyway. For the most part, all the other companies had there phones answered by answering services. Some gave you the option of paying an after hours fee for a tech to come out, others you had to wait till they started up in the morning. N.R.G. Air had people answering the phones even at that hour. They did not charge extra to visit and were at my house within 2 hours of my call. (I think it was under an hour and a half) Both the not charging and actually having someone come out blew me away and apparently they go on calls around the clock! They quoted the cost to repair on site and it was a flat rate, so labor and everything, no surprises. It's been almost a year, so the details of what they did are a bit shaking at this point. However this really impressed me and stuck with me. More recently I had them out again. No heroics this time, just a general check up. The tech was polite, wore booties which I forgot about from the first time, also amused me as I have tile or concrete in the areas he was going, but no worries. Quick and to the point. Would highly recommend these guys! No hassle and everything is either covered in there visit charge or within the quoted amount for the repair. more

Going on a friend's recommendation, we called N.R.G. Air earlier last summer when our our air conditioner wasn't working. I was dreading the visit because we just bought our home and inherited a furnace and air conditioner that are over 10 years old. Previous visits for furnace inspections from two big-name Indianapolis heating and cooling companies left me feeling swindled and not very trusting. Once tech from N.R.G. Air arrived at the house, though, I knew I would have nothing to worry about. He's a very friendly and straightforward guy, who would rather fix your HVAC problem and keep you as a long term customer than persuade you spend a few thousand more dollars on a new heating or cooling apparatus. He inspected the whole HVAC system carefully and found that the problem lie in a bad wiring job on thermostat done by the original installer. He fixed this and we had cool air again in our house. On top of that, I was only charged the standard $79.95 house call rate, when I thought I would be out a couple thousand dollars in the end. N.R.G. Air did us a good service, and they will be our heating and cooling contractor from now on. Another first time homeowner lesson learned: stick with the small businesses thy friends recommend and leaneth not on thine own understanding. more

Simply put, these guys rock! LIke the other reviewer, I was torn between doing this job myself and having someone come in and do it for me. Doing a bit of searching and researching, I came across manager of this company. He was very prompt in calling me back, and after a conversation on the phone it was apparent to me he knew what he was talking about! [I've built a few houses and have blown in insulation myself several times]. His verbal price estimate was very competitive and after he came out and looked at the job, he adjusted his price due to the amount of existing insulation that was already in the attic. I went up into the attic and walked (crawled!) around right after he finished all the preparation and before any insulation was blown in. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT THING TO DO IF YOU CAN!! It gives you an opportunity to see just what they have already down and what they are going to do BEFORE everything gets covered up with blown in insulation! I was **VERY** impressed with the attention to detail and thoroughness tech displayed in the preparation. He did a lot of stuff - all in sealing of air leaks (by foaming and taping) that I honestly would not have done had I done the work myselfl, BUT CLEARLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE! He is knowledgable, affable, and clearly a hard worker. He strikes me as honest and someone who has his client's best interests in mind. On top of that, they cleaned up so well, you wouldn't even know they were there! I highly recommend N.R.G. Air! more

It was 95 degrees outside and my A/C was leaking into the laundry room of my condo when I called. I made an appointment and N.R.G. Air called to confirm that teh tech was on his way over. He came out on time and had the problem fixed within minutes. His rate was very reasonable and I was expecting to pay much more because I have an old unit that had not been maintained at all in the past 10 years. He also cleaned the unit and checked it all out. He told me to have it maintained once a year and call him next year before summer. He gave me a follow up phone call a few days later to make sure it was still fixed. This is a honest company and I recommend them to anyone that needs A/C help. more

It was time to update my old a/c unit for a new high efficiency unit and I called a few companies to get a quote. I found N.R.G. Air on line and was impressed with their website. I called the main office and spoke with with a very cheerful women that took all my information and told me someone would contact me within the hour. I got a call back in 15 minutes by the sales guy. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and gave me 3 quotes on differnet models. After meeting him I knew this was the company that I would purchase my unit from. He said he could have someone there to install It on Saturday between 9 and 10 am. About 9am sharp the installers arrived. They did an incredible job installing both the inside and outside units. I was really impressed with the work that guy did inside as the old lines needed to be moved. He told me no worries that he would take care of everything. He is a true professional when it comes down to a/c work. I am so impressed with this company that I will recommend them to all my friends and will continue to use them in the future. more

Hi folks. I've owned a recording studio for 10 years, with central AC. I have had a hell of a time finding a company to take care of my yearly AC maintenance, and while the company I dealt with to install my system was pretty good, they were expensive. The reality is, through Yelp, I found N.R.G Air, and in doing so, I believe my search is now over. They guys who showed up did what I believe is the most thorough job of restoring my unit to its optimum running condition - no joke - that I have ever had done. Most companies do not check the coils in the air handler - these fellas did. Most companies don't want to take the time to clean the coils in the condensing unit as well as these guys did. I am an ardent supporter of Yelp and the benefit to consumers from the reviews here. I think this is a case where five stars is very appropriate. These guys came and did a job that no less than five other companies have done and in my opinion, did it better than any of them. Really nice guys as well. Thanks for giving me a reason to be happy. . . more

Most of the time, I love owning my own home. The times I don't, however, are when my wife and I returned from a trip, coincidentally on the hottest day of the year, only to find that the air conditioning wouldn't turn on. Through the sweat dripping down my face, I found the number for N.R.G. Air HVAC and called them to see if they could save us from death by heat. These people are FAST! Literally 30 minutes after I hung up the phone, the N.R.G. Air repair guy was ringing our door bell. I don't remember the last time a repair man surprised me by being exceptionally punctual and, to top it all off, he was also very courteous and obviously knew a lot about his trade. He found the problem with the air conditioner quickly and had it up and running about 20 minutes later. Relief! It was such a pleasure working with N.R.G. Air HVAC, I will never hesitate to call them again. It's nice to know there's someone you can depend on when you're in a pinch. more

I had a crisis this winter. My window air conditioner took a suicidal leap from my window just before a major heat wave. I don't have a car, so what was I to do? Searching the web turned up N.R.G. Air. I checked Internet reviews and to be honest, they almost sounded too good to be true, but I was desperate and took a leap of faith. It was evening, and I fired off an email in the hopes that perhaps they would check their email before they opened the next day. I was right. Someone (I think one of the owners) wrote me back early the next morning before going in to the office, saying that they could definitely help me and to call when they opened so we could work out specifics. When I called he asked me several questions to determine the best unit for my needs, and then gave me his opinion of the two best options - one a slightly pricier brand than the other. He said that one of his teams was doing installations in my area and he thought they would be able to fit me in that day. Late that morning a new air condition was brought to my apartment and installed for me! I couldn't have been happier as I rode out the heat wave sitting near my new, better unit. more

N.R.G. Air originally installed and has serviced my upgraded AC/Heating for many years now and I have always been impressed with the professionalism, above all. Following the recommended tune up schedule has paid off in my opinion and the company continually offers new ways to encourage customers to keep this probably often-neglected maintenance exercise in sync. They promote valuable options in a tough economy to keep my system in check and I appreciate. I have experienced no problem with either unit since installation nearly 2 years ago. Class act all the way around and deserve their reputation in the business world today. They've earned it. more

As the weather turned chilly, I realized that my furnace had stopped working. I called several companies on a late Friday night, and N,R.G. Air made time for me on Saturday itself. They gave me a free estimate and explained the problem, and then provided updates on when the part was expected. Since my furnace had been installed several years ago (by someone else), there were unforeseen issues with the system, and much to my surprise, the guy spent additional hours investigating my furnace to make sure it worked properly without billing me for his extra time and effort. He takes great pride in a job well done and checks in after the service to make sure all is well. If everyone I came across when fixing my apartment were this prompt, courteous, professional and experienced, life would be so much better! I highly recommend N,R.G. Air heating because of the quality of their work and the attention to customer service. N,R.G. Air is a crucial element to living comfortably, so finding a quality, reliable provider is such a relief! more

It is obvious that N.R.G. Air has a very positive philosophy about who they hire, how they treat their employees and how they want them to treat their customers. I rarely find a company with so many polite and congenial people. Everyone I have worked with or talked to has been so nice. Everyone Ive been in touch with at N.R.G. Air has been exceptionally positive, polite and considerate. It makes everything so much easier to accomplish when you know you can count on the civility of the people you're dealing with. There are always going to be concerns, adjustments that need to be made, and problems to be solved. I feel that I can count on whoever answers the phone at N.R.G. Air, or shows up at my door to be a polite and decent person, as well as competent. I know they are working toward my complete satisfaction with the job they are doing. It is so much easier to do business with a company that ensures that their workers treat their customers well. I will have no problem recommending N.R.G. Air to my friends. more

I checked with a lot of LA heating and air conditioning contractors before i chose one that I was comfortable with. So glad i went with N.R.G. Air. They did a fantastic job and were very nice. They had a pretty good discount combined with the $1500 tax credit and the savings from having an efficient system, this was the best value I could have possibly gotten. I'm glad they asked me to write a review for them because I am very happy to do so. I see that they have been asking others to do the same. Good thing, because the word needs to get out that these guys are the best value for your money. I'm happy to help. Go for it guys, tell all your customers to write reviews. You deserve it. more

Our furnace went out and as you know, it's been cold lately. Air makers came out the same day we called, got to work immediately and fixed the problem. i was so surprised at the price and almost felt guilty that I wasn't paying him more. Very cool dude and did excellent work. I'm happy to say our furnace is working great and we're all toasty for the holidays. more

We were extremely impressed with the service at N.R.G. Air. Our water heater was leaking all over the garage and we needed help FAST. We were undecided between getting a new standard water heater or a heat on demand system. Technician was wonderful about explaining all the pros and cons to us about both items. We ended up getting a 50 gal standard heater and we are very pleased with our decision. He installed the heater quickly and efficiently. We definitely recommend them to anyone needing fast, quality work. more

N.R.G. Air was a company I used because they were referred to me by a friend. I had been pricing around For a high velocity system and was getting quotes all over the board. Some shady company was even offering a TV with purchase. N.R.G. Air quote was not the lowest bid but the difference in price was clearly spelled out in the quote. the N.R.G. Air crew did a fantastic job, cleaned up every day finished right on time and on budget. Would highly recommend them and plan on having them back to install central air-conditioning in my mothers house. Glad to know their are still honest hardworking contractors out there. more

We had the unexpected occur, just before Christmas. The old unit was Carrier and had served me well. I did my typical online and friend and neighbor research. I called several big name HVAC companies. I was having some difficulty with inconsistent information. A neighbor referred me to N.R.G. Air, stating that they had a very difficult install and that this was the only company willing to take the job on. They were quite happy with the outcome. Technician came out and walked my home. We discussed options, needs, preferences, costs. I promptly received an estimate for three options, each of which he explained fully to me. I decided to add central air and replace existing duct work at the same time. I chose Rheem products. The day the job began, we had rain blowing sideways, the attic roof leaked, the yard turned to muck. We encountered many challenges in this project that never could have been for seen. This guys were super. Very patient, provided great problem solving suggestions as they occurred. The crew are knowledgeable, polite, professional and worked hard in difficult conditions. They showed up on time, cleaned up each night and accommodated my 4 cats and a dog. I am not one to gush about customer service and I am VERY PICKY about contractors and fit, finish and function. They system exceeds my expectations. Follow up customer service has been prompt and professional. In short, I would highly recommend N.R.G. Air for your HVAC needs. Thanks guys! more

I called N.R.G. Air when my heater wasn't working. They came out within the hour and the technician was very good at what he did and I had heat within a half hour. I had 2 other companies come the day before and both told me my heater needed to be replaced which I thought was strange since it was only 11 years old. I just want to say that this is a good company to call if you need someone good and they seem very reasonable as far as price. more

We went through quite a few appliance repair places before, finally, our neighbor recommended NRG Air saying that they are really laid back, but they really know what they are doing. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to repair dryers, so the most important thing is that their work is solid and their prices are decent....even on the inexpensive side. And, in the time, when I've been faced with an appliance repair emergency, NRG Air was there! more
