STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. We had a terrible experience with them when we commissioned them to design a custom ring. The ring came back with the side diamonds misaligned, and after a couple discussions with Greg Yater where we tried to get the problem fixed, it was never right. After getting a second opinion, we went back a couple months later to speak with Greg (politely), and he was immediately confrontational. He wouldn’t even look at the ring, refused to discuss our issue at all, told us he would not do anything to fix it (and that he does not back up his work), and threatened to call the police if we didn’t leave the store, where another couple was currently shopping. He made an unprovoked scene and treated us worse than I have ever before been treated as a customer. We were shocked. This was certainly the biggest purchase we had ever made, and it was a disaster with Yater & Sons. We are thoroughly disappointed and can’t believe they run a business that way. more

My now husband and I purchased our engagement/wedding rings from Greg Yater. From my very first dealing with Greg, he was informative, helpful, very up front with pricing and really helped us get the most ""bang for our buck"". He was very respectful of our budget and there was no pressuring. I never felt rushed and he helped me design a beautiful diamond ring. The quality is supurb and everything was on schedule as promised. There was a tiny issue with final size (my fingers swelling was part of the problem) of the ring which they corrected promptly without any charge or issue. Everyone I have dealt with at Yater's has been wonderful. It's nice to see a family run buisiness where honesty, friendly customer service and quality workmanship are offered at fair prices. I highly recommend and would return! more
