Do NOT eat here! Food POISONING! 11/5/2010

NEVER EAT HERE! Their service is terrible... after a 45 minute wait we finally got our food which was bland and horrible. Not only that, but after we ate there, all three of us came down with vomiting and/or nausea which we can only attribute to food poisoning as that was the only thing all 3 of us had in common (the beef shwarma!). Save yourself, and eat somewhere else where they care about kitchen hygiene! Anywhere is better than this place! more

Amazing lebanese twist on mediteranean food 1/15/2009

Really nice place, good service, very clean, great location, and a really large menu of options. They do a great lebanese twist with their food, and their schwarma meat dishes are amazing. The hummos and pitas great too. Big wine list! Good place for romantic dinners and groups. I would avoid their rendition of spanikopita as it's non-traditional and more of a fluffy puff pastry thing (kinda like a spinach hot pocket), and their mousaka is actually a soup. Because they do these special renditions of traditional items you need to really read the descriptions to know what you're getting Pros: big portions, good service, large wine menu, good outdoor seating and pets allowed Cons: a little pricey, not the best for taking kids more

Always a good night for Byblos! 7/2/2008

I recommend this restaurant to almost anyone who asks about the good restaurants in this town. I also make sure to mention the live (and don't worry-tasteful-) belly dancing featured on Thursday nights. The atmosphere is wonderful. Warm, dim (but no TOO dim), great music. The service is always great. The best part, however is the FOOD. Oh.My.God. You'll never want to eat dinner anywhere else again! I dream about the chicken schwarma! The desserts are insanely good, too! Pros: The food, the atmosphere, and the location! Cons: It gets a little busy sometimes....only because it's so good! more

Must be a post-K thing 5/6/2008

You never go to Byblos expecting great service, but after yesterday I need to speak out. After 1/2 hour of horrible service, we were told by the ""head waitress"" that they were short-staffed. The lentil soup was great, but when my salad came out tasting horribly, I requested to see the manager. Her response was ""he's busy cooking in the kitchen, but I'm also a manager, so you can talk to me."" I explained that I wouldn't have minded our server telling us that it would be slower than normal, but being short-staffed is no excuse for rude service. Her response was, ""She's a really nice girl, she's just very busy."" She comped what we had eaten so far and finished by saying, ""Other than bringing her out here and beating the sh*t out her, there's nothing else I can do."" Never again. more

Byblos has the best hummus in town, along with its chicken and lamb kebobs-it can't be beat! For lunch, their pita sandwiches are healthy, tasty and inexpensive! more
