I was compelled to write a quick review to mention that I was at Buttonwood recently, and tastings were indeed $10. Same price as nearly all the other wineries in town. The wine was great and the people were nice. I even brought home a case to go with my free glass. Anybody that can find a way to have a bad time while wine tasting needs an attitude adjustment. more

Shady Service! Cheap Tasting Wine! 10/16/2007

SHADY! My husband requested 2 tastings and handed the guy a $20. The guy took the money and didn't give us back our change, so we figured the tastings must be $10 each. It wasn't until I overheard the tastings were $7.50 that I demaded my change back. Who tries to rip you off at a winery? It was supposed to be classy, but it was KLASSY. There are too many other good wineries in the area like Blackjack Ranch to put up with that nonsense. The wine wasn't great either...most made me wince. It tasted like the cheap kind they serve at bad weddings that give you the hangover from hell.... Pros: Nice back woods area Cons: Dishonest staff members, is the wine from a box? more
