Butterworth Tree Angels

Jim from Butterworth Tree Angels is a really, really nice guy. They have the equipment to do really big jobs which is just wonderful. They have cranes, trucks, and a lot more. They can also do stone grinding. I find him to be reasonably priced, and have recommended him to our condo's association. Even better, when he leaves the job, your yard is left spotlessly clean. Highly recommend. more

I've used Butterworth Tree Angels four or five times. They have done big jobs, small jobs, and crane jobs for me. Jim does excellent work and his prices are reasonable. He and his men communicate well. He came highly recommended to me and I would recommend him to anyone. more

The most recent experience was when I had some pruning done at my business. In addition to that, they took a tree down and ground out the stump, then planted a new tree. Before that, I had them come out and do some work at my house. more

I was impressed with Mr. Butterworth, because he came out to give me an estimate when he was scheduled to and he was on time. After he gave me the estimate, he never returned my phone calls and I don't think I have to beg anyone to take my money! I can't give Mr. Butterworth an review on his work, but what was even more important to me, he should have follow through with what he agreed to do. If you don't want the job or can't do the job, please let the customer know. I am not upset, but disappointed, but for some businesses, unless they are hungry, you may never hear back from them again. I am thankful this happened and will not ever call him again! more

We had two large trees removed and a smaller one and two bushes. Jim and his crew were amazing. Their equipment (crane, chipper, stump grinder etc) are top notch and it was fascinating to watch them work..cimbing the tree, chainsaw in hand, then ataching each limb to the crane to be lifted over the house and into the front yard and put in the chipper. I wish all the neighborhood kids could have been around to see it! We needed some fencing removed and he even used the crane to pull that up for us. What a huge help that was. Butterworth Tree Angels were just that for us and we will definitley use them for all our tree work in the future. more

I asked Jim to put me on his calendar to come back out and trim my crape myrtles annually when they're in season. One of the things that impressed me about Butterworth Tree Angels is that they could have just trimmed them, like someone less professional might think to do. But Jim is a professional, and as an arborist, he knew it was not the correct time to do that, and that if I did I would actually destroy their summer bloom. Now I will be having him come in the appropriate season. Butterworth Tree Angels also did an extensive trim on some very large holly trees, cut down a major tree and ground its stump, and professionally pruned some large beds of trees. My property looks remarkably improved. I'm really impressed with his expertise as an arborist. Their business clearly made an investment in beneficial specialized equipment, and the crew comes equipped with the appropriate tools. They always show up on time, and complete their job on the specified date, within the time specified, and clean up nicely afterward. As a busy professional myself, I appreciate when hired workers complete a job within the set time-frame. more

On a scale of 1 to 5, Butterworth Tree Angels is about a 10. Maybe a 20. How high can I go? If anybody asked me, I would tell them all about them. They were perfect. I've dealt with Jim Butterworth before, but nothing as major as this. I remembered from that conversation that we had several years ago that he had a crane and was able to use his imagination and skill to get trees down without doing the most damage, and that was the reason I called him. I had these two big oak trees, not more than ten feet from the road, that were leaning towards some shrubbery and a thirty-foot magnolia, and I was worried about the damage they would cause. I spoke to Jim Wednesday evening I guess, and early yesterday morning he came out here and took one look and basically initially he didn't think he would be able to come until mid next week. I told him I was concerned about the one tree coming down and doing some damage, then, slick as a whistle, he got a rope on the upper limbs, tied it off through the crotch of a second tree, then tied it off on a third tree. I've never seen anything like it! Jim got to checking his schedule and decided that he could come right then, which he did, but I had to leave at about 10:00 yesterday morning and I got back before 12:00. Low and behold, they got them both down in a couple of hours. One of the trees was already laying on the street, and the other one was already cut across the base and they were just trying to figure out how to lay it down and cut it up. It was a remarkable sight! We had the traffic blocked off, and this one lady had to stop and comment on what an amazing operation it was. It couldn't have gone more smoothly, or more quickly. Those guys are a delight to work with, so I don't know what I can say other than it was a job extremely well done, as well done as it could have been. more

Jim Butterworth and his team were absolutely amazing. Jim came out to inspect the damage less than 45 minutes after the tree came crashing in to our house - it was way after business hours. The crew showed up on time and were just fabulous! I highly recommend the Butterworth Tree Angles! more

I have been using Butterworth Trees for about 6 or 7 years. We have a lot of trees in our yard and they cut them down and trim them. Not only is Jim Butterworth personable, he returns my calls in timely manner. His staff is professional, they do a great job, and they clean up after themselves. I have recommended Butterworth to many people and I will continue to use them. Even though other companies have rung the doorbell offering us their services, I will continue to go back to Butterworth Tree. I cannot think of anything negative. They are just nice people to deal with. more

A friend recommended Butterworth Tree. They looked professional from the street. They seemed to have the right equipment and just had a professional look to them. I've been using them five years maybe. They've removed several trees for me over time, a large tulip poplar and a three-foot hickory, and they've also pruned hackberry and oaks. You name it they've fixed it up or dealt with it for me. I keep coming back to them because they're professional, highly-trained, highly-skilled, efficient, reasonably-priced and safe. Jimmy has really invested in the technology involved in the tree service. Jimmy literally comes out and takes a tree down in two or three hours where it takes other companies two or three days. I have used Butterworth Tree for years. They do all the tree work around the property. I have an acre with a lot of trees, and Jim has done work for us as needed, especially when we have a tree come down. He has helped us in emergency situations. He gets here quickly and takes care of everything. He is always efficient and polite, and his workers do a really good. We are also pleased with the price they offer.
