Bustles & Bows Bridal Boutique

HORRIBLE! First let me say this is for Bustle and Bows. There are NO alterations in the store. You have to take your dress somewhere else. I purchased a bridesmaid dress. The sales rep. wanted me to get a size 20! (I normally wear an 8). There was no sample dress in the store to try on, so trusting the sales rep, I finally agreed on an 18. They charged me extra for ""plus-sizing."" When I got the dress, it fell off of me. I told the sales rep their sizing was way off, and she told me it was my fault, and I should have had a size 20! She kept insisting it was my fault! The dress ended up costing $400 after alterations to fix. The women were completely rude and I will never shop there again! more

My daughter choose this boutique for her bridal dress. From the very beginning the ladies there were helpful, professional and as nice as they could be. Shelly, the owner, goes out of her way to make each customer feel special. I decided to order my mother of the bride dress from them as well. I would recommend this little jewel of a boutique to everyone I know! more

I was very, very dissapointed about this store. They have very little knowledge about gowns or designers. Very limited selections and all they wanted was to get a deposit and not answer any questions. My friend had horrible alterations and this store was very unprofessional, just amazing how any bride or customer could praise this store. A friend found out that her order was never placed at all. Would not shop there again. more

I was reading the horrible reviews about bustle and bows and couldn't believe what I was reading...then I figured it out. All of these reviews are for With this ring bridal, NOT Bustles and Bows. With this ring was recently taken over by Bustles and Bows. The girls at Bustle are FABULOUS! I hated every single bridal shop I went into and then I found this one! The owner is always there and her staff is wonderful. Please do not think these reviews are for the new Bustle and Bows...they are not. Go to this bridal shop if you want a great experience. Sweet people and very helpful, tell me another bridal shop where you can get that... Pros: Great service, happy employees, nice new place. Got my W. dress in 2 months! Cons: None so far!! more

I got married in 2005. I contacted with this ring bridal because they had the dress I was interested in. The customer service was excellent!! The owners were very helpful and made me feel like I was the most important person. I drove over 5 hours to get to the store and I would do it again in a heart beat! They even wrote me a thank you letter and personally sent it to my home. I highly recommend With This Ring for all brides. more

I went to this store, because I was a bridesmaid in an out-of-town wedding. I was alone trying to find a certain bridesmaid dress, since I was the only person from the bridal party living in New Orleans. The owner told me that she would not be able to order the dress until the next day. When I got home that night I realized I had ordered the wrong dress. The very next morning, as soon as the store had opened, I called them to tell them to cancel my order. The owner said that she had not ordered the dress, yet, but I could not get my money back. She said that she could not give my money back, because I had signed a contract saying that the store does not accept returns or refunds. She did not carry the designer that I needed for the wedding. She said that all she could do was offer me store credit. I said that she hadn't ordered the dress, so it's not like she had lost money . She said she could to do anything about it. She was rude and stole my money (almost $200). I recently finished graduate school, so it's not like I can just give away that much money. I am trying to get in touch with ""Channel 6 On Our Side."" No one should ever shop there. I thought businesses wanted to keep customers, not make them feel awful and push them away. This business does not understand giving their customers value for their money. Walked into this bridal salon and not one person in 10 minutes asked if we needed help. So we walked out. Their loss, dont shop here. It is stressful enough to plan a wedding, who needs added problems. more

I wasn't impressed. No one really assisted me when I came in. I had to pull all of my own dresses and I wasn't aware of the prices. They didn't have a lot of what I was looking for (classic ball gown, a little edgy, under $2,500). When I inquired about who made certain dresses, they got wierd and wouldn't give out the information. They estimated that the alteration cost on the dress I was most interested in would be around $180! Pearl's Place does alterations for free and has 10x's more dresses to try on. Pros: Wasn't busy Cons: Selection, Service, too expensive for what it offered more

Ok first off the owners are very very rude. Long story short, my fiance was deployed in 2005. we were to be married in march of 06'. 1/2 the girls made deposits and the other half didn't. Military orders are a legal breech of contract. wouldn't refund my girls their money and told me IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT HE WAS GOING OVER SEAS. i got angry contacted everyone. The BUSINESS BUREAU, the attorney general and one state rep. They have no compassion for anyone!! they are no longer a member of the BUSINESS BUREAU because they never replied to any of the letters. (Last i read) 2 of my girls had to get the dresses but we will not use them again and i tell everyone i know about these people. if you want to be messed over in your wedding prep go for it. If not use someone else!! i hope my situation never happens to anyone else because they are horrible people and just lie to try and make a dollar, not to metion they are over priced. I will not support any place that is that rude and heartless about our soldiers serving this country where they are able to make that dollar they don't want to give up! I was really excited to go to With this Ring. When I got there no one helped me, and there was like 20 dresses in the whole store. I was shocked. Then they had the bridesmaid dress that I choose for $40 dollars more than at Pearl's place and they charge for alterations! Be careful. I think they may go out of business soon like Sisters did. p.s. I lost $150 deposit for a bridesmaids dress from sisters when they abruptly left town. more

This place is HORRIBLE! The owner is very rude and condescending. They are completely incompetent. For my wedding, not only did they order the wrong bridesmaid dresses, they had the nerve to not claim any responsibility for it, blamed ME and then did not even attempt to correct the mistake! They said that they would compensate my bridesmaids for the re-dying of the shoes but they did not. They even kept a $50 pair of shoes that one of my bridesmaids from out of town gave them and are refusing to mail them to her. They also have not refunded her an $18 overcharge from her dress and its been 8 months!! Do not get alterations done here either. It took 5 times for them to even come close to getting my dress right and it was still not correct on my wedding day. They did the same to my mother's dress and still charged each of us over $300 for said alterations. Again, another testimony that this place does not practice good business or know anything about customer service. Save yourself the stress and heartache and go somewhere else where the business pays attention to you and understands how important the details of your wedding are.
