The day we visited Burnley, it was very busy but the hostesses did their best to give us a lot of attention. There were a couple wines that stood out among the rest, and I would definitely go back for those. They were also doing a wine and cheese pairing where you pay $7 (I think) and you get a glass of wine and a bunch of gourmet cheeses to try. This was a really fun little outing and if they did the pairing again, I would definitely go! more

Worth a Stop, But Not World-Class 12/16/2005

Burnley Vineyards is well worth a stop on any "wine trail" outing or trips up to other sights in and around Barboursville. The tasting room is generously sized and as many as 20 wines seem to be available for tasting on any given day. Apple cider is offered to the under-aged, in a nice gesture to alleviate impatience among those not trying the offerings. As in many other wineries around, the tasting room doubles as a gift shop, with many wine-related lifestyle items on offer. There's nothing particularly new or unique, but it's fun to look all the same. more
