Great food,beer selection & wonderful people 1/13/2012

Thisis a wonderful resturant andsports bar. I have been a customer of BPWP for over 10 years. The reason we frequent Burgh's alone, take our friends for dinner or order take out is because the food is always high quality and the owners and staff are wonderful.I wish resturant patrons here had a fraction of the patience of Europeans. How can you think you can receive high quality, made to order food in the time it would take at a fast food resturant. Please give these people the credit and respect they deserve for providing such a great establishment. THERE IS A REASON WHY THEY ARE SO BUSY!! "" RELAX,BE PATIENT AND YOU WILL ENJOY!!!"" more

Needs a visit from Jon Taffer 12/22/2011

Although this place isn't struggling at all and the foods actually pretty good the service SUCKS! You'll die of thirst before you get a drink. An hour for a pizza, come on. This has only gotten worse over time. I'll give any place the benefit of the doubt. After not eating here in over a year it'll probably be longer before I return. If your up for it give 'em a shot. more

I would go back again and again 11/27/2011

I have been the Burgh's several times and I always have an enjoyable experience.\r \r I must admit, at times the wait for food can be long, but it is always worth it. Good food takes time, so I always have a drink and enjoy being out.\r \r I have seen several reviews where people complain about the staff, but I do not get it. The staff has always been nice and given great service even if there is a line out the door.\r \r I will be back ! more

SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY 10/22/2010

My wife and I went to the “Burgh's Pizza & Wing Pub” for lunch yesterday (Thursday) for the lunch bar. We were there 20 minuets before they put a pizza on the counter and the wings were never filled. The salad bar is very small and didn’t get filled as needed and they only offered Italian or Catalina dressing. I like Italian dressing but my wife doesn’t so she had to settle for the Catalina. Like I said I like Italian dressing but this stuff was so bad I couldn’t eat my salad.\r We have been there before and always figure a place deserves a second shot. Well, they’ve had their second shot and misses both times. We will never be returning.\r Don’t waist your time or your money. Go somewhere else.\r If you want good pizza try Sammy’s @ 2145 Noblestown Rd. It’s the best we’ve had since moving to Pittsburgh 2 ½ years ago.\r more

Poor service - eat in at your own risk 12/14/2008

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I've been to Burgh's plenty of times. Pretty decent food and beer selection. HORRIBLE service! I had not been there in about six months, but my girlfriend wanted to try it out, since it had been a while since we were there. The waitress was a piece of white trash who could not get an order right and had no manners. I received my food before my gf's salad - how does that happen. Then the salad shows up with no dressing. She acted as if it was our fault for there being no dressing.I don't think it was the kitchen screwing up. She never asked if we needed another drink until we were ready to leave.\r \r This is not the first time I was unhappy with the service. I specifically pointed out before going there that the thing that kills Burghs is they have a horrible staff of white trash, that seem extremely uneducated and poor manners. I would not recommend this place to sit in and eat. Stick to take out. more

Best pizza/wing Sports Bar so far. 1/6/2008

My daughter and I stopped here on Sunday. The place was packed as there was a playoff football game on. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table. The girl that seated us was friendly and very accomodating. We offered to take a table by the door and she suggested a booth as she said it sometimes gets chilly by the door. (She didn't have to do that!) We were waited on immediately by a very friendly waitress who took our order & served us our drinks in about 3 minutes. We ordered pizza & garlic wings. Our wings were served within about 10 minutes which was perfect timing as we wanted the time to relax. The pizza was served about 15 minutes later...(so we were able to enjoy our wings) Because we are originally from upstate New York where the Italian food & pizza is about the best there is, we thought we might be disappointed. We absolutely were not disappointed. We actually were very impressed. It was the best pizza we've had in a long time. The sauce was as Italian as it could get (not real sweet as many places make it) and everything was cooked to perfection. We loved it. We decided then and there that we had found a ""favorite"" spot and would definitely return often. The next time we'll bring the husbands and kids. The only possible negative thought was that it was a bit LOUD (haha!) ....but, we didn't care because that's the way it is in most Sports Bars. The food and atmosphere made up for the noise. Pros: Great food, service and staff. Cons: A little noisy. more

Owner very rude to us 6/2/2007

I was at the restaurant on a Saturday night. I had waited over 20 minutes for an order of wings followed by a pizza. I asked a man, who appeared to be in authority, to check on my order. It turned out to be ""Tom"", who was one of the owners. He was very, very rude---shockingly so!! I almost left the restaurant--the bartender asked us to stay. Our pizza finally came 30 minutes later and the wings showed up 10 minutes after the pizza. Although the food is very good, I will never go back---I do not need to spend my money in a restaurant where the owner (ofd all people) yells at me!! Pros: Very good pizza Cons: Terrible---very long wait for food and wings were delivered after my pizza more

Great Place! 4/26/2005

Go everytime we are in the ""Burgh"". Best Pizza this side of NY. Love the choice of wings also. Bar is great with good cold 'Rock' on tap. Free Pop-corn and great sports viewing on the TV's. Get there early though on Week-ends. more
