I've been to the one on Barker Cypress (b/w West and 290, next to Kid's R Kids).\r This place has been open for little over 6 months.\r It was my first time trying the Burger Tex burgers, but it was soooooo good.\r The place is clean, fresh vegetables, food is so good.\r I personally like the mushroom burger and wings.\r You got to try it. Pros: I haven't tried any other Burger Tex except the one at Barker Cypress, but I'm sure other Burger Tex's are pretty much the same....GOOD~ more

If you are looking for a homestyle burger that is juicy and flavorful (without being too salty) , crispy fries and made-fresh-daily buns, this is your place. They have a condiment bar so you can add your own veggies to customize your burger just the way you like it. My friends and I frequent this place at least once per week. The price is unbeatable for the quality you get. If you go during lunchtime, get there early, because they get jam-packed really quick! Excellent Burger! 1/28/2008

To say they are the best in Houston would be a stretch (That would go to Texas Hamburger Palace) but make no mistake, this Fuddrucker style joint is insanely good. Their bacon cheeseburgers are out of this world, with fries to match. Add your own veggies and dig in! Pros: Best Hamburger! in West or North Houston Cons: Too far from my house! more

Sweet Taste of Success!!! 5/20/2004

I am not one for hamburgers, especially the crappy ones from those fast food chains or even those home made ones that just taste like crap because they are so plain. When my husband finally convinced me to go eat at Burger Tex with him one day for lunch, I got the suprise of my life! THE BEST BURGER EVER! Now we go there at least once a week to enjoy the savory taste of these burgers! I don't know what they are doing but they are definitely doing it right! Pros: Inexpensive, Best tasting Burgers more

The Best Hamburger in Houston 9/23/2003

I only eat beef on rare occasions, but Burger Tex changed that. The hamburgers are so good with savory flavorings, the buns are huge and toasted, plus they have fresh vegetables and melted cheese to put on them. The seasoned fries are the best!
